Pokémon Pokopia is a major release of 2026 and is being hailed as one of the year’s best games. Currently, it has the highest Metacritic score of any 2026 game, surpassing Resident Evil Requiem. However, like many Pokémon games, it has a few noticeable flaws and could have benefited from more thorough testing and optimization before release.
I’ve been checking out the game’s Reddit, and a bunch of us are warning each other about a really important thing! Apparently, there’s a mistake you can make that’s permanent, at least with this version of the game on the new Nintendo Switch 2. The developers, Game Freak and Omega Force, might fix it later, but right now, everyone needs to be super careful not to lose their relocation kits – it’s a big deal!
Pokémon Pokopia Players Learn The Hard Way
A player on Reddit shared a frustrating experience in Sparkling Skylands. They built a wooden house, then regretted the location and tried to move it using a relocation kit from the Pokémon Center. They didn’t realize the kit saved the house, which locked them out of moving anything else until the original house was rebuilt. Thinking they could fix it, the player tried dropping the loaded kit into the abyss, but this made things worse. Now, they’re permanently unable to move anything, as the game constantly tells them they’re still in the process of relocating something else.
Currently, if this happens, the item won’t show up in the game’s lost and found – a feature many players are unaware of, based on discussions online. There’s a chance you might be able to fix the problem by exceeding the item drop limit, but this hasn’t been proven. To avoid losing progress or making your game unnecessarily difficult, be careful not to let this happen.
