How Storage Wars Paid Tribute to Darrell Sheets Days After His Death

The Storage Wars family is honoring the life of Darrell Sheets

Following the death of the A&E reality star—known for his business of buying storage units at auction—the show honored him in a recent episode of Storage Wars: Back to the Locker, which aired on April 25th. His death appeared to be a suicide.

The episode concluded with a tribute to Darrell Sheets, displaying his name and dates of birth and death, according to Us Weekly.

Police say 67-year-old Barry Sheets was found dead at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, on April 22nd. While the investigation is ongoing, authorities believe his death was a suicide.

After Sheets passed away, his colleague Laura Dotson revealed how much cyberbullying had impacted his mental health.

According to his family, this has been going on for three years,” Dotson shared with Us Weekly in an April 24th interview. “It can affect anyone, even those who seem strong and unbothered. Cyberbullying is a serious issue, and it clearly had a negative impact on him, making him feel inadequate.

Dotson said he was deeply afraid, both for himself and for those nearby. He had no idea why anyone would be targeting him.

Shortly before he died, Sheets publicly responded to someone who was spreading false information about him on social media.

On March 9th, Sheets posted on Facebook that their account had been hacked. They clarified they are not gay and didn’t post anything about an arcade owner or children, expressing deep distress and apologizing for the unauthorized content. Sheets stated someone threatened to ruin them and pleaded for understanding, emphasizing the posts did not come from them.

Sheets reported experiencing harassment and expressed fear for his safety, stating that people were coming to his workplace with the intent to harm him.

Even though Sheets was going through a difficult time with his mental health when he passed away, Dotson will always cherish his kindness and good heart.

According to the outlet, Sheets was a genuinely kind and loving person with strong religious faith.
