Many folks are quite fond of Star Wars Outlaws nowadays, yet it’s important to remember that when it first came out, the game was an enormous disappointment.
Under pressure, Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, has acknowledged that their recent open-world release didn’t live up to expectations, attributing its weak performance to the inconsistent popularity of the Star Wars franchise as a whole.
As a fervent admirer, I must acknowledge that Yves himself conceded that the initiative was initially rolled out less than perfect. He further pointed out that it required some additional refinement or “polishing” before making its debut.

According to Tom Henderson, who is recognized for his industry connections at Ubisoft, it appears that the development of a sequel to the game has been halted due to the underperformance of its initial release.
It’s quite possible that this game was still in its preliminary stages at Massive Entertainment in Sweden, given the slow sales of the initial release. However, fans who have grown fond of Star Wars Outlaws following its enhancements might find this development disheartening.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve noticed that Ubisoft, the powerhouse behind my favorite games, has decided to split off some of its major franchises into a separate company. This move has caught the attention of Tencent, one of the world’s leading internet and technology firms, who have invested in this new venture.
The newly established department encompasses some of Ubisoft’s largest franchises, including Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six, and Far Cry.
The future of Ubisoft’s overall operations is uncertain due to dropping share values and an unusually large workforce, which they are currently grappling with.
