Kirsten Storms‘ ex-husband Brandon Barash has taken legal action against her.
A judge granted an emergency restraining order to the actor from Days of Our Lives after he claimed his ex-partner, a star on General Hospital, was experiencing a mental health crisis. The actor shares a 12-year-old daughter with the other parent, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
According to court documents, Barash, age 44, stated that Storms has repeatedly struggled with stable housing. He claims that after their 2016 divorce, Storms’ landlord in Tennessee filed an eviction lawsuit against her, even though they had moved there separately.
In legal documents, he claimed that Storms didn’t have a fixed home between September 2024 and June 2025, and instead stayed with friends or at various hotels. He also mentioned that she often switched hotels, believing someone was tracking her and her child.
Brandon is worried that their unstable housing situation, along with other issues, will affect their ability to properly care for their daughter.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Storms, who revealed she has a brain aneurysm after being diagnosed in January, has been allowed to visit her daughter with supervision.
TopMob News has reached out to reps for Storms and Barash but has not yet heard back.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this case closely. Apparently, a legal filing submitted back in December 2025 – as reported by People magazine – stems from a conversation with the Zenon star in May of that same year. She reached out expressing some really difficult things – she was experiencing delusions and hallucinations, and confided in him that she had serious concerns about her ability to parent her child during her scheduled time with them.

He stated that Storms contacted him in November 2025, reporting that someone was breaking into her apartment and putting her things in her car to harass her.
According to People magazine, Barash helped get Storms admitted to a hospital for mental health treatment, and his wife, Isabella Devoto, with whom he shares a 3-year-old son named Joaquin, assisted in the process. Storms was reportedly placed on a psychiatric hold during her stay.
According to the court documents, Barash stated that a friend of Storms told him she was experiencing frequent emotional breakdowns, becoming easily upset, and hallucinating. This friend also expressed concern to the actor that Storms was misusing Adderall and potentially other drugs.

In addition to the petition, Barash asked that his ex-wife, whom he was married to for three years, receive a mental health evaluation.
Storm Reid recently shared that she left Los Angeles before undergoing brain surgery to treat an aneurysm.
She explained on Instagram that while her daughter, Storms, was the main reason for the move, she was also prioritizing her own well-being and happiness, both physically and mentally.
Amid her new chapter, Storms also shared she was leaning on her loved ones for support.
It’s true that you sometimes encounter difficult people, but I’m incredibly grateful for the good ones in my life. One of them recently spent a lot of time making beautiful sweaters with me, and it was wonderful.
