Sony Pictures just dropped the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil movie, directed by Zach Cregger, who previously made Weapons and Barbarian.

Visionary filmmaker Zach Cregger, known for films like Weapons and Barbarian, delivers a fresh and frightening take on the Resident Evil series. This new story centers on Bryan (Austin Abrams), a medical courier who unexpectedly finds himself in a desperate fight for survival during a terrifying and chaotic night.
The new movie, Resident Evil, will be released in theaters on September 18, 2026. It’s a production from Columbia Pictures, Constantin Film, and TriStar Pictures.
