Hasbro, Funko, LEGO, and Mattel, among others, had a busy month filled with exciting new product announcements. It’s easy to lose track of everything! Here are five of the coolest collectibles you might have missed – including exclusive items, limited releases, and amazing figures from popular franchises. Let’s take a look.
“Choose Your Fighter!”

If you’re looking forward to the new Mortal Kombat movie, you’ll be excited about the latest action figures from McFarlane Toys! They’ve recently added Johnny Cage and Ermac to their Mortal Kombat Klassics line. Each figure is about 7 inches tall, incredibly poseable with 22 moving parts, and comes with extra hands and a stand for display. Plus, the packaging is designed to look like the classic arcade game, celebrating the series’ history.
Okay, so of the two figures, Johnny Cage really pops – he seriously looks like he walked right off the set of one of his action movies and into my collection! They even included removable sunglasses, which is a nice touch alongside the usual stuff. Both figures are going for $29.99 and should be shipping out later this summer, which I’m already counting down the days for!

Roll Out with the Studio Series!

Hasbro is marking the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie with new action figures based on the classic 1986 animated film. This month brought the release of three new figures, showcasing characters from across the entire range of sizes and types.
This month, fans can add three new Transformers to their collections! Blitzwing, a Decepticon Leader class figure, transforms from robot to jet in 32 steps and to tank in 29. He costs $59.99 and comes with blasters and a sword. Fellow Decepticon Cyclonus, a Voyager class figure, changes from robot to spaceship in 28 steps and is priced at $42.99. Gotham’s Greatest Figures

Batman: The Animated Series is a classic, and Mezco Toyz is creating incredibly detailed, 1/12 scale action figures that are perfect for fans of the show. As a collector myself, I highly recommend the One:12 Collective line – it’s a great way to elevate any display. These figures come with realistic cloth outfits, lots of poseability with over 28 points of articulation, and a huge assortment of accessories.
This month, Mezco released action figures of Robin and Scarecrow, based on the classic designs from the 90s animated series by Bruce Timm. The Robin figure comes with over 20 bat-gadgets for various situations, while Scarecrow has movable eyes and five different sets of teeth, letting you customize his look. At $116 apiece, they’re a bit pricey, but I believe Mezco is making the most detailed and impressive figures of these characters, making them a must-have for any Batman fan.

In Space No One Can Hear You Collect

Each year on April 26th, fans celebrate the iconic 1979 horror film Alien. This year, Mattel released a playful take on the scary movie with the Alien Little People Collector Figure Set. The set costs $26.99 and features four figures designed in the classic Little People style, all packaged in a display case.
This set features iconic characters from the Alien franchise, including Ellen Ripley, a facehugger, a chestburster, and the terrifying Xenomorph – reimagined as surprisingly cute figures! It’s a great way to add something unique to your Alien collection, or maybe even introduce the horror genre to your children (at your own risk!).
“Let’s rock..and RIDE!”

The popular 90s cartoon, Biker Mice from Mars, is making a comeback thanks to Entertainment Earth! This exclusive 3-pack from Nacelle brings back the adventurous alien mice who protected a vibrant, futuristic Chicago. Just like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it was a fun, action-packed show that defined a generation – what more could you ask for from a 90s cartoon?
This figure set, packaged like a hot dog meal (a nod to the characters’ love for food!), includes all three Biker Mice from Mars: Throttle, Vinnie, and Modo. The figures have a classic design that will bring back fond memories for anyone who grew up in the 90s. You can find this exclusive set only at Entertainment Earth for $29.99.
As a huge movie and collectibles fan, I’m really excited about some things dropping in April – everything from stuff related to Gotham City to Cybertron! I’m definitely planning to add a few pieces to my collection, and I’m curious to know what you’re hoping to snag. Make sure you follow us to stay updated on pre-orders – you won’t want to miss out on the next awesome addition to your collection either!
