Eurovision 2026 odds: Who is tipped to win?

Ahead of the competition, the bookies’ favourite to win is Finland, according to Betway.
Finland is competing in this year’s contest with the duo Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen, performing the song “Liekinheitin.” A win for Finland would be their second ever, after Lordi won the competition in 2006.
Below are the top 10 contenders to win in 2026:
- Finland – 6/4
- Denmark – 6/1
- France – 6/1
- Greece – 6/1
- Australia – 8/1
- Israel – 12/1
- Sweden – 16/1
- Romania – 25/1
- Italy – 33/1
- Malta – 33/1
Unfortunately for the UK, Look Mum No Computer isn’t expected to win, currently having very long odds of 100 to 1.
With Eurovision fast approaching, Betway’s Lewis Knowles notes that Finland is currently the frontrunner with odds of 6/4. Denmark, France, and Greece are also performing well in the betting and are considered strong competitors, all with odds of 6/1.
It’s looking like a tough year for UK fans, as the team is a long shot to win – currently with 100/1 odds. A major upset would be needed for them to take the championship!

As a longtime Eurovision fan, I’ve been really troubled by the decision to let Israel compete this year, given everything that’s happening in Gaza. It’s caused a lot of debate and honestly, a lot of us feel it’s wrong to have them participate while the conflict is still ongoing.
Several countries are choosing not to participate in this year’s contest because the European Broadcasting Union decided against banning Israel from competing.
In December 2025, the EBU held a meeting where members voted to establish rules preventing governments or outside groups from unfairly boosting certain songs to sway voting results. However, they did not vote on whether Israel would be allowed to participate.
The European Broadcasting Union announced that most of its members agreed there’s no need for another vote on whether to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest. The 2026 contest will go ahead as scheduled, with extra safety measures added.
After this announcement, Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands, Slovenia, and Iceland all stated they would not be competing in Eurovision this year.
Ireland’s public broadcaster, RTÉ, has decided not to participate in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, stating that it doesn’t feel right to do so considering the tragic loss of life and ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, which continues to endanger civilians.
The BBC, the UK broadcaster for the competition, has voiced its support for the EBU’s decision. In a statement, the BBC explained that this is about upholding the competition’s rules and ensuring everyone feels welcome.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2026 final will take place on Saturday 16 May 2026.
