A highly anticipated anime film from last year is now available on Crunchyroll! Last year saw a lot of popular and well-received anime movies, and fans have been hoping to see them become available for streaming. While some releases still haven’t announced their streaming plans, this one is finally here.
Crunchyroll surprised fans during their Ani-May event by adding Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc to their streaming service. The movie, which continues the story after the first season of the Chainsaw Man anime, is available with both Japanese and English audio options. It’s now available to stream and explains why it was such a highly anticipated release last year.
Chainsaw Man Movie Now Streaming With Crunchyroll

Chainsaw Man The Movie – Reze Arc continues the story of Chainsaw Man, picking up right after the first season and faithfully adapting the original manga. The movie focuses on the Bomb Devil arc, introducing Denji to Reze, a girl who initially seems romantically interested in him but hides a dangerous secret. Tatsuya Yoshihara returned to direct for studio MAPPA, with Hiroshi Seko writing the script, Kazutaka Sugiyama designing the characters, and kensuke ushio composing the music.
The new Chainsaw Man movie is a crucial part of the story, so fans won’t want to miss it. Unlike some anime films, it’s officially considered part of the main storyline and will set up future events in the anime. Good news for fans – MAPPA has already begun working on the next phase of the Chainsaw Man anime!
Chainsaw Man Announces New Anime for Its Biggest Arc

The next anime project for Chainsaw Man will be an adaptation of the Assassins Arc. While Studio MAPPA is returning to animate it, details like the release date, international availability, and returning staff are still unknown. The arc is roughly the same length as the previous one, the Bomb Devil arc, which means this new installment might be released as a movie instead of a full season. We’ll have to wait and see how it’s handled.
I watched as Chainsaw Man recently finished its second part in Shueisha’s magazine, leaving a lot of story for the animation studio MAPPA to work with – potentially for years! While the movies are fantastic, I’m really hoping we get a full season of the TV anime someday too. If you’re interested, you can stream everything currently available on Crunchyroll.
