Now that the second season of her HBO Max show has finished, actress Isa Briones is performing on Broadway. While fans of The Pitt are invited to see her, she’s kindly asking them not to shout out lines or references to the show during the performances.
Actress Arianna Briones, who is currently playing singer Connie Francis in the musical Just in Time, is asking fans to stop referencing her previous role on the TV show The Pitt during performances. Some audience members have been calling out lines from the show, specifically asking her to “finish her charts” – a nod to her character, Dr. Trinity Santos. Briones shared a message on Instagram over the weekend requesting that the calls stop, as she finds it disruptive and isn’t enjoying the interruptions.
Stop Shouting Pitt References At Isa Briones
As Briones pointed out, Broadway is a performance venue, not a place to shout whatever comes to mind at the actors. She specifically called out yelling things like ‘When are you going to finish your charts?’ before a song – like during her performance of ‘Who’s Sorry Now?’ – as deeply disrespectful to both the performers and everyone else in the audience. She expressed her frustration with this behavior, asking people to be considerate.
She went on, reminding everyone to be considerate of others and enjoy the art around them, with a message of love and positivity.
Since the beginning of April, Ariana DeBose’s Briones has been performing for the cast of Just in Time, a show about the life and career of singer Bobby Darin. Jeremy Jordan now plays Darin, taking over from Matthew Morrison as of April 21st. The cast also includes Carrie St. Louis, Joe Barbara, Emily Bergl, Debbie Gravitte, Lance Roberts, Caesar Amayoa, and Claire Camp, alongside Briones and Jordan.
Isa Briones Is Otherwise Loving Her Role On Stage
Briones recently shared with Rolling Stone how much she’s enjoying her role in the Broadway show. She said theater brings her a lot of joy, and she appreciates the change of pace from her TV work, including The Pitt. She finds the work incredibly fulfilling and loves being around theater people, describing it as a wonderful community she grew up with – and her favorite place to be.
I’m so glad to hear there’s more coming from The Pitt! I absolutely loved Season 2 and am thrilled that Briones is already set to return as Dr. Santos. It’s amazing how quickly they’re moving forward. The first season was a huge hit, racking up a ton of Emmy wins, and I’m hoping Season 2 gets just as much recognition. Honestly, The Pitt is a total phenomenon on HBO Max – it’s easily one of the most popular shows out there right now, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
The Pitt is streaming on HBO Max.
