Two Borderlands Games Free for 48 Hours

Two Borderlands games are currently free to download, but you’ll need to claim them within the next 48 hours. To get these post-apocalyptic first-person shooters for free, you’ll need a PC, an Epic Games Store account, and an Amazon Prime subscription. Amazon Prime is offering the free game codes through the Epic Games Store, so that’s how you’ll redeem them.

This month, two Borderlands games are available for free: Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, released in 2022 by Gearbox Software, is a spin-off and sequel to Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, which was originally downloadable content for Borderlands 2. Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep became available as a standalone game in 2021, before the release of Wonderlands. So, while Wonderlands isn’t the newest Borderlands title, it’s the second most recent after Borderlands 4.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

Though Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a spin-off, it still feels like a classic Borderlands game – it just features a lot more of Tiny Tina, a character that some fans don’t enjoy. If you’re not a fan of her, you might want to turn down the volume. The core gameplay is still the same addictive experience you’d expect.

When Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands came out, it received a Metacritic score of 77, which is respectable, though a bit lower than the scores for the main Borderlands games. Interestingly, players on Steam rated it even lower, giving it a 71% approval rating.

You can finish the main story of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands in around 15 hours, but exploring everything the game has to offer will take longer. Expect about 30 hours if you complete side quests, and around 50 hours if you aim to fully complete the game. Luckily, it’s currently free to claim until May 6th!

Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure

Released in 2013, Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep received a score of 87 on Metacritic. Its popularity as downloadable content led to it being developed into a standalone game.

The free downloadable content, available to claim until June 3rd and now released as a separate game, usually takes players between 5 and 11 hours to complete. Playtime varies mostly depending on whether you explore optional side quests and content.
