April marks the start of the second half of the Spring 2026 anime season, bringing a wave of highly anticipated new shows. The season got off to a strong start in March with popular titles like Witch Hat Atelier and Nippon Sangoku, and continues with exciting sequels such as Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 3 and Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2. While Crunchyroll streams most new anime, HIDIVE is also offering its own selection of fresh releases this month.
I’m so excited about the new additions to HIDIVE! It’s awesome that they don’t always focus on just the newest anime – sometimes it’s great to discover older gems too. I just checked out the May 2026 schedule on the official HIDIVE website, and it’s got the full list of what’s leaving and, more importantly, what’s coming to the platform. Definitely worth a look if you want to update your watchlist!
6) Blue Drop

A science fiction anime about a love story between girls will become available on May 5th, 2026. The story follows Mari Wakatake, who wakes up with no memories after a terrible event on a remote island where everyone else perished. She’s sent to a secluded girls’ school, where she meets a mysterious girl she feels strangely connected to.
5) Dokkoida?!

The Galaxy Federation Police is trying to hide that they don’t have enough officers, so they’re introducing new robotic suits. Nineteen-year-old Suzuo is really hoping to find work, and Tampopo believes she’s the ideal person to test a new suit her company created! Suzuo will face tough competition and some bizarre criminals, but everyone involved in the suit test needs to remain anonymous – they can’t recognize each other when they’re not in costume, or the test won’t work. Luckily, they’re all sharing an apartment building to save money!
4) Casshan
3) Di Gi Charat
2) Gold Lightan the Golden Warrior
1) Mysterious Girlfriend X
