With the recent finale of its highly praised fourth season, fans are eagerly awaiting more of the exciting and unconventional series, Invincible. The Prime Video show is filled with incredibly powerful heroes and villains capable of amazing feats. Luckily, there’s still a lot of content from the original Image Comics series that hasn’t been adapted yet. The comics reveal that many beloved characters become even more powerful, making their current appearances seem relatively mild. Here’s a look at the strongest and most formidable characters in the Invincible Universe.
The Invincible comic series is known for its incredibly powerful characters – some are strong enough to destroy planets. These characters often fight without restraint, leading to widespread destruction.
10) Thaedus

Thaedus was the first Viltrumite to fight against his people’s harsh rule, and his influence was enormous. After killing Emperor Argall, he created the Coalition of Planets, uniting allies to oppose the Viltrumite Empire. Because Viltrumites grow stronger with age, Thaedus was incredibly powerful. During the Viltrumite War, he defeated several strong Viltrumites, including Anissa and General Kregg. He even helped Omni-Man, Invincible, and Space Racer destroy the Viltrumite homeworld in the final battle. Though ultimately killed by Grand Regent Thragg, Thaedus remained one of the most powerful and clever enemies the Viltrumite Empire ever encountered.
9) Conquest

Conquest is the oldest and most brutal of the Viltrumites, finding pure enjoyment in killing. While most Viltrumites tell themselves they’re acting for the greater good, Conquest needs constant reminders to restrain his incredible power and viciousness. He’s responsible for two of the most devastating beatings Invincible has ever taken—and that’s saying something considering everything Invincible has endured. Conquest’s cruelty is legendary, demonstrated by his slaughter of countless Viltrumites during the Great Purge and the billions of aliens he’s killed across the galaxy. He’s come close to killing several powerful heroes, including Invincible, Atom Eve, and Kid Omni-Man. For years, Conquest was considered the second strongest Viltrumite, surpassed only by Grand Regent Thragg.
8) Robot

As a huge fan of Invincible, I’ve always found Robot’s evolution fascinating. Initially, he was the brains of the operation, winning fights with his incredible intellect. But later on, the story really shifted, and he became a terrifying physical force too. Once he decided he needed to ‘fix’ the world – by taking it over, of course – he built these unbelievably powerful drones. Seriously, one of these things could go toe-to-toe with a Viltrumite, using both brute strength and these crazy sonic attacks that mess with their balance. He controlled them all with his mind, and it was a total sweep – he either defeated or captured almost every superhero on the planet. Honestly, Robot’s conquest was shockingly effective; few villains have ever managed such a complete victory.
7) Atom Eve

Samantha Williams, better known as Atom Eve, is the most powerful human in the Invincible universe. Her ability lets her change anything at its most basic level, allowing her to do things like fly, build massive weapons and shields, and even transform materials. Usually, she avoids using her powers on living beings, but when she pushes past that limit, she can erase memories, heal herself from almost any injury, and even severely harm incredibly durable opponents. Even without using her full potential, she’s strong enough to defeat many Viltrumite-hybrid soldiers.
6) Space Racer

Though a seemingly small character in Invincible, Space Racer possesses the universe’s most powerful weapon. As part of the alliance fighting the Viltrumites, he rides a Space Bike that can travel faster than light. His signature weapon is the Infinity Ray – a gun firing unstoppable energy blasts capable of obliterating anything they touch. With a single shot, the Infinity Ray can destroy Viltrumites, planets, and even stars. Only Space Racer can wield this weapon, and it appears in his hand whenever he needs it. Remarkably, despite not being physically strong, he survived for over a century trapped under debris in space.
5) Omni-Man

Even before people knew he was a ruthless conqueror for the Viltrumite Empire, Omni-Man was already considered Earth’s most powerful hero. He was raised as a warrior on Viltrum and has spent centuries fighting and taking over worlds all by himself. Across the galaxy, Omni-Man is responsible for the deaths of countless people – potentially billions. On Earth, he famously killed the Guardians of the Globe and almost fatally injured his own son, Invincible. While he later changed his ways, Omni-Man remained incredibly strong, capable of destroying massive asteroids, defeating many Viltrumites in battle, and even helping to destroy his home planet, Viltrum.
4) Allen the Alien

The Unopans, a race almost destroyed by the Viltrumites, created Allen the Alien as their last hope. Allen quickly became a key agent, and eventually leader, of the Coalition of Planets. He’s incredibly strong, can fly, and heals rapidly. What makes Allen truly special is that each time he recovers from a near-fatal injury, his powers increase dramatically. After just two such experiences, he became one of the most powerful beings in the universe, capable of defeating Viltrumites and even Omni-Man, and enduring extreme conditions like flying close to the sun. This means Allen’s potential is practically endless.
3) Battle Beast

As his name suggests, Battle Beast exists solely to satisfy his endless craving for violence. This relentless bloodlust made him the most powerful being on his planet, ultimately ending all conflict by defeating anyone who dared oppose him. When his brutality became too much for his home world, he ventured into the galaxy seeking strong opponents. Battle Beast has defeated countless enemies, famously nearly killing Invincible, and including the villains Colossus and Juggernaut, multiple Rognarrs, and many Viltrumites. Though he eventually lost a multi-day battle with Grand Regent Thragg, Battle Beast came closer to defeating him than almost anyone else.
2) Grand Regent Thragg

The Viltrumites are an incredibly strong and aggressive race, so only the most powerful and brutal individuals can rule them. Grand Regent Thragg was specifically trained from birth to be the ultimate Viltrumite warrior. After the death of Emperor Argall, he expanded the Viltrumite Empire through relentless conquest. Thragg is far more powerful than any other Viltrumite, and for much of the Invincible story, he seemed unbeatable. He easily defeated and killed incredibly strong opponents like Thaedus, Oliver Grayson, and even Omni-Man. Many consider Thragg to be the most dangerous being in the universe.
1) Invincible

It’s a running gag throughout the Invincible comic series that Mark Grayson gets severely injured in his battles. However, by the end, he rises to become the most powerful and important figure in the entire universe. As a hybrid of human and Viltrumite, Invincible is fiercely dedicated to protecting those he cares about. He’s consistently overcome incredibly strong enemies, with notable victories against Conquest (twice), his crucial role in the destruction of Viltrum, and his epic defeat of Thragg – a battle fought on the sun itself. Ultimately, Invincible takes over as the leader of the Viltrumite Empire, using his unmatched power and genuine kindness to establish a new era of peace.
