The mystery of who killed Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) in Coronation Street remains unsolved, but today’s episode offered some interesting new hints.
At the end of Friday’s episode, Betsy Swain (played by Sydney Martin) discovered the body of the abuser in the backyard of the local corner shop. This revelation finally solved a mystery that had been building for months, ever since a brief scene shown in February hinted at the outcome.
Just as one murder was solved, another mystery emerged: who is the new killer? Kate Brooks, the series producer, hints that it will be a long journey before we finally find out the truth.
She told TopMob and the media that many people are considered suspects in Theo’s death.
We’ll be revealing the murderer’s identity sometime in late June or July. There are plenty of suspects, and we want to keep viewers guessing!

This story is incredibly complex, with lots of unexpected turns and subplots. Just when you think you know where it’s going, it takes you in a completely different direction, and it will definitely leave audiences wondering what happens next.
The police revealed a list of people they’re considering as suspects on Monday: Todd Grimshaw, Christina Boyd, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Gary Windass, and Danielle Silverton.
Detective Sergeant Lisa Connor-Swain (played by Vicky Myers) questioned George about the blood Christina was attempting to clean from his sweater. He admitted the blood belonged to Theo, but insisted he wasn’t involved in the murder.

George also spent a large portion of the evening alone on a walk, and therefore had no alibi.
He’d spent the night in a cell and was still being questioned. Lisa showed him a brooch, asking if he recognized it, but he had no idea what its origin was.
Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) warned that they couldn’t hold George much longer, as they didn’t have enough proof to justify keeping him, meaning Lisa would have to release him.

But Lisa didn’t stop with just one person. She also brought Christina into the interview room and pressed her for information about George – where he was and if she had any ideas about what might be going on.
Summer was clearly struggling after everything that happened the previous week. She became overwhelmed with emotion in Victoria Gardens, and Gary and Maria Connor were there to support her. Afterward, she worried that her distress might have seemed like she was hiding something.
She made Gary swear not to tell anyone, clearly wanting to cover for his own misdemeanours…
As viewers may remember, on the night Theo died, he damaged his van and then sent a threatening text. Security cameras from a nearby construction site recorded this, and Gary realized it could be used as evidence against him.
Desperate to keep out of the police’s attention, he quickly deleted the footage.
Did Gary kill Theo?
