Kim Kardashian almost had a wardrobe malfunction keeping her from the Met Gala.
Kim Kardashian, known for her reality TV show, revealed she was concerned she damaged her custom-made breastplate during a final fitting before attending fashion’s biggest event on May 4th. She wore a bright orange, fitted outfit with a hard shell top and matching leather skirt to the event.
After accidentally bumping into a breast mold while filming a behind-the-scenes video for Vogue, she worriedly asked, “Did I break this?” She explained, “I really hit it hard.” Then, she continued, “If I broke or chipped it—what about right here?”
Kim Kardashian breathed a sigh of relief after learning she hadn’t suffered any injuries, explaining that she would have had to cancel her Met Gala appearance otherwise. Thankfully, she didn’t have to cancel and ended up stunning on the red carpet. Her outfit perfectly captured this year’s theme of “Costume Art” and “Fashion is Art,” taking inspiration from the paintings and sculptures of artist Jones.
Kim Kardashian, mother of North (12), Saint (10), Chicago (8), and Psalm (6) with Kanye West, recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at her Met Gala preparations. In a May 5th Instagram post, she uploaded a vlog-style video showing clips from her day, including how her hair stylist Chris Appleton and makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic got her ready for the red carpet.
Besides offering a glimpse behind the scenes, the 45-year-old star shared what she ate right before walking the Met Gala steps in her amazing outfit: soft serve ice cream with sprinkles.
The actress, known for her work on Hulu, posted a picture of her pre-event snack to Instagram Stories, simply captioning it “Met prep.”
