If you enjoy Invincible, you should definitely explore its fantastic crossovers. The superhero story created by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley has become incredibly popular, especially with the recent animated series on Amazon Prime. The franchise is booming – there’s a new video game, special edition comic covers, and even new comics adding to the story. It’s a great time to be an Invincible fan!
If you only know Invincible from the Amazon Prime show, you’re in for a treat! The series is a fantastic adaptation of the comic, but it doesn’t include everything. Specifically, the comics featured some really fun crossovers with characters from other series. Even before Invincible became so popular, these team-ups happened. If you’re a fan of the show, here are 3 Invincible comic crossovers you won’t want to miss.
3. The Tick #100

Okay, so as a longtime comics fan, I recently dug up this really fun team-up issue celebrating the Tick’s 100th release, and it involved Invincible! The story is pretty wild – somehow Invincible gets pulled into the Tick’s incredibly strange world to help stop this Martian villain. What’s really interesting is that this isn’t just a one-off; it’s actually considered part of the official Invincible storyline. It sounds weird, and it is, but it works! Invincible surprisingly fits right into the Tick’s over-the-top, cartoonish universe, and the Tick is clearly impressed by just how strong Invincible is. It’s a little hard to find, but trust me, it’s a gem and totally worth the effort.
2. Invincible #60

If you watched the “Invincible War” episode in season 3, you’ll remember Earth was attacked by many different versions of Invincible. However, the show didn’t reveal the full scope of the invasion. Issue #60 of the Invincible comic book clarifies that the Viltrumites weren’t just a threat to Earth, but to the entire Image Universe, with heroes like Spawn, Savage Dragon, Youngblood, and Madman joining the fight against the evil Invincibles. While the main storyline remains consistent, it’s awesome seeing so many heroes unite – even if some only make brief appearances – to battle this common enemy.
1. Marvel Team-Up #14

Many fans know that Invincible and Spider-Man actually teamed up in a Marvel comic book, specifically Marvel Team-Up #14. This adventure happens between issues of the Invincible comic series; Angstrom sends Invincible to the Marvel Universe where he helps Spider-Man defeat Doctor Octopus. It’s a fun, standalone story, and the two heroes work really well together. The Invincible show cleverly incorporated elements of this storyline into its second season, but for the full experience, reading the original comic is highly recommended – it’s a fantastic team-up!
