Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has recently shared updates on several key projects, including the future of 2K’s football game and the progress of the next BioShock title, which appears to be moving forward after a lengthy development process.
So, will Borderlands 4 come to the Nintendo Switch 2? A recent interview revealed why it’s unlikely in the near future. Development of the game was put on hold earlier this year, and Strauss Zelnick explained that improving performance on current platforms is the main focus right now.
We’re taking the time to carefully consider what players want in Borderlands 4 before releasing it on additional platforms.
Zelnick is talking about the game’s performance on PCs, something we also noted in our review – it was inconsistent. The developers are currently working to fix these issues, but Zelnick believes a version for the upcoming Switch 2 console is still possible.
If you’re enjoying the newest game, there’s plenty more content planned for 2026! Hopefully, it will also be available on the Switch 2, attracting even more players throughout the year.
