Frogwares just gave a more detailed look at their upcoming PS5 game, The Sinking City 2. They’re shifting the focus towards a true survival horror experience. A new gameplay trailer also confirms the game will be released this summer – just a few months from now! You can watch the trailer above.
The Sinking City 2 is a terrifying survival horror game set in the 1920s, heavily inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Players will explore the flooded streets of Arkham, haunted by the undead, and face a powerful, ancient god. You’ll be forced to make difficult choices – saving one person might mean sacrificing the entire city.
Frogwares is now focusing on making truly scary games, and they feel their new sequel is a big step in that direction. The team is proud of the progress they’ve made and excited to get feedback from both new players and longtime fans.
While still featuring the investigative gameplay fans enjoyed in previous games, The Sinking City 2 puts a greater emphasis on action, survival, and exploring the world. According to the game’s director, Alexander Gresko, investigation now complements these elements instead of being the primary focus. The game is scheduled to launch on PS5 in the next few months.
