NBC’s long-running crime drama Law & Order is reportedly set to return for another run.
Deadline reports that the long-running drama, currently in its 25th season, has been renewed for a 26th season. The network will officially confirm the news on Friday.
According to reports, the show isn’t ending with its next season. However, the upcoming 26th season might face budget reductions, which is common for shows that have been on the air for a long time, though the exact details of any cuts are still unknown.
The show first ran for 20 seasons on NBC. It was surprisingly canceled in 2010, but then brought back in 2022.
Over its many seasons, Law & Order has featured a large and impressive cast of actors. Notable stars who’ve played significant roles include Jerry Orbach, S. Epatha Merkerson, Sam Waterston, Benjamin Bratt, Angie Harmon, Michael Imperioli, Dennis Farina, Jeremy Sisto, Anthony Anderson, and Jeffrey Donovan.

Season 25 first aired on NBC in September, took a break in late 2025, and then came back in January 2026.
The season will end next Thursday, May 14th, with an episode about the murder of a military hero. This case pulls the FBI into Brady’s ongoing investigation. Meanwhile, as Baxter campaigns for reelection, Price and Maroun become concerned that the judge presiding over the case may be biased in favor of the defendant due to some strange decisions being made in court.
The main cast for Season 25 features Hugh Dancy, Tony Goldwyn, Odelya Halevi, David Ajala, Reid Scott, and Maura Tierney.
