Channel 4 has confirmed its hit show Secret Genius will be back for an extended second season.
I’m really excited to hear that ‘Mind Boggling’ is coming back! It’s the show where Susie Dent and Alan Carr put everyday people with amazing brains through some seriously challenging puzzles. This time around, there are seven episodes, which is great – last season only had six. I love seeing what these incredible minds can do, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with this season.
The show’s first season premiered in January and quickly became popular. It featured contestants from diverse backgrounds competing in games inspired by Mensa’s IQ tests. The first episode alone drew 2.1 million viewers, proving to be a success for the network.
I’m really excited about the new series! Channel 4 has hinted that they’re upping the interactivity, with more at-home games for us viewers to play along with the contestants. It sounds like they’re going to really challenge both us and the people on screen – a fun test of wits for everyone involved!
Carr expressed his excitement about the return of Secret Genius and working with Susie once more. He recalled meeting incredibly intelligent people on the previous series who hadn’t fully recognized their own abilities, and described the moment they realized their potential as truly special.

Dent shared his excitement about finding more hidden talents with Alan. He said the first season of ‘Secret Genius’ really made a difference in some people’s lives, and he’s looking forward to seeing what the new group of participants can achieve.
Madonna Benjamin, a commissioning editor at Channel 4, explained that ‘Secret Genius,’ featuring Alan and Susie, resonated with viewers by showcasing and celebrating intelligence in a fun and inclusive way.
We’re excited to launch a new and improved series, reaching more people nationwide and helping them discover their potential.
