Dave Coulier Was Unable to Eat After “Extensive” Cancer Treatments

Dave Coulier is rebounding from his cancer treatments.

The former Full House star recently shared how he’s doing after fighting cancer not once, but twice in two years. He went into remission from throat cancer in February, just under a year after recovering from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

In a recent Instagram video, the 66-year-old explained that people have noticed changes in her appearance and voice. She confirmed these changes are due to the side effects of radiation treatment she received for throat cancer.

He described the difficult side effects of the treatment, explaining that he hadn’t been able to eat solid food for months, leading to a 45-pound weight loss. He said this was the reason for his physical appearance and was also impacting his speech.

The actor, known for his work on Muppet Babies, has been dealing with a lot physically, especially while going through this with his wife, Melissa Bring, and his son, Luc, 33, whose mother is his ex-partner, Jayne Modean. However, he also recently received some positive news.

He shared that his hair is starting to grow back, and recent scans show a positive outlook for both his throat cancer and lymphoma. He and his team are very happy with the results.

Dave received a diagnosis of stage three non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in October 2024. He told Today that it was a fast-moving and aggressive form of the cancer.

He was thankfully given a clean bill of health five months after his initial diagnosis. Unfortunately, in December 2025, he learned he had oropharyngeal cancer caused by HPV. He’s now in remission from both cancers and described the experience as a “roller coaster ride” in an interview with Good Morning America on February 4th.

Now that Dave is recovering, he shared what he’s been doing to pass the time and regain his strength. In an Instagram post, he said he’s been busy with art, writing, and working on AwearMarket.com, his store for non-toxic products.

He continued: “We’re looking out for your health and so I wish good health to all of you.”
