The second season of Daredevil: Born Again has finished, and while the main plotlines wrapped up, seven key questions still need answers. In the finale, Matt successfully redirects the investigation surrounding Karen Page to focus on Wilson Fisk, proving Fisk was responsible for the sinking of the Northern Star. He does this by publicly revealing his identity as Daredevil, which sparks protests throughout New York City. Despite a violent outburst from Fisk against the protestors, Matt surprisingly lets him leave the city for good. However, Matt isn’t so fortunate, as he’s arrested at the very end of the season.
Production is underway for Daredevil: Born Again season 3, and it might finally provide answers to some lingering questions. While many of these mysteries were originally intended to be resolved by the end of season 2, they weren’t. These unresolved plot points have frustrated some viewers, who are hoping the Marvel Cinematic Universe will address them in the future.
7) What Were The Northern Star Weapons For?

The second season of Born Again primarily focuses on Fisk’s role in a government operation to secretly bring illegal weapons into New York City aboard a ship called the Northern Star. While we learn how and what Fisk was smuggling, the series doesn’t explain why these weapons were needed. Itās revealed that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine was behind the shipment, suggesting the CIA or her organization, OXE, were involved, but the ultimate goal of the operation remains unknown.
6) Where Is The Hand?

Fans were anticipating the return of The Hand in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after their appearance as villains in Daredevil. Many expected setup for their reappearance in season 2, especially with the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day. However, The Hand didnāt appear in season 2 at all, suggesting Brand New Day will be where theyāre reintroduced. This raises a question: how has The Hand remained active without Daredevil noticing?
5) What Was Luke Cage Doing For Mr. Charles?

During a talk with Jessica Jones, Mr. Charles lets slip that Luke Cage is currently working for him. While Charles remains tight-lipped about Lukeās location and activities, he warns Jessica that heās the only one who can bring Luke and her back together. Luke does appear at the end of season two, but he still doesnāt explain what heās been doing.
4) What Is Bullseye Doing For Mr. Charles?

When Luke returns, he informs Jessica that Mr. Charles has hired someone else: Bullseye. We see Dex on a plane with Charles, likely working as a hired gun for the U.S. government. The series doesn’t reveal what Bullseye’s assignment is, suggesting it will be explored in a future Marvel project.
3) Will Foggy Nelson Ever Come Back?

Many fans expected Foggy Nelson to reappear in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, especially after the show hinted at a storyline where he was in witness protection. The lack of his return was surprising, and now itās unclear if heāll ever be back on the show.
2) How Was Fiskās Deal Still Valid After The Courthouse Brawl?

When Matt reveals that Wilson Fisk was illegally bringing weapons into the city, the attorney general offers Fisk a deal: if he resigns as mayor and leaves New York, he wonāt face charges. Though Matt pleads with him to accept, Fisk delays, and during that time, violently attacks a large group of protestors, with some suffering severe injuries, including a broken back. Itās unclear how the attorney general still honors the deal after such a brutal outburst, and the show doesn’t offer much explanation.
1) Where Did Frank Castle Go After Escaping Fiskās Compound?

A major question mark hanging over season 2 of Born Again was the absence of The Punisher. Frank Castle played a key role in season 1, teaming up with Daredevil against Wilson Fisk and the AVTF. Though arrested towards the end of the season, a post-credits scene showed him escaping Fiskās base, hinting at a return in season 2 ā a return that ultimately didnāt materialize.
Season two of Born Again doesn’t explain what happened to Frank Castle, which feels like a strange oversight. Given his intense desire for revenge against Fisk, you’d expect Frank to be even more determined after Fisk’s arrest. Hopefully, the upcoming Disney+ special, The Punisher: One Last Shot (part of Spider-Man: Brand New Day), will address this, because it’s unusual for Frank to simply disappear.
