John Krasinski is back to work on A Quiet Place. He posted a photo on social media showing he’s started filming A Quiet Place Part III.

It’s taken a while for production to begin on A Quiet Place Part III. Emily Blunt mentioned back in 2021 that John Krasinski had envisioned the series as a trilogy. However, both Krasinski and the studio wanted to assess how A Quiet Place Part II would perform after the success of the first A Quiet Place, which earned $341 million in 2018.
While A Quiet Place Part II earned a solid $297.5 million, it didn’t quite reach the success of the first film. It’s hard to say how much the year-long delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic impacted its performance – it initially premiered in New York in March 2020 just before lockdowns began, but wasn’t widely released until April 2021. Regardless, its box office numbers, and likely its strong performance on Paramount+, were enough to convince Paramount to greenlight a third film.
