Guide: These 8+ New PS5, PS4 Games Are Coming Out This Week (4th-10th May)

Okay, so it’s not a huge release week, but honestly, I’d rather have a few really good games than a ton of mediocre ones, right? And thankfully, there are a couple of new PS5 titles dropping this week that actually look pretty interesting.

I’ve been keeping an eye on the new game from the creators of Until Dawn – it’s called Directive 8020, and it’s a sci-fi horror game set in space. I’m planning on checking it out and will have a review up soon!

As a huge PlayStation 1 fan from the 90s, I have to say Rugrats: Retro Rewind is a must-mention! Seriously, searching for Reptar was just amazing – totally iconic!

Here’s everything coming out this week.

New PS5, PS4 Games This Week (11th-17th May)

  • Call of the Elder Gods (12th May – PS5): “All is not well at Miskatonic University. Professor Harry Everhart tries to ignore the shadows flitting at the corners of his vision, while student Evangeline Drayton is haunted with impossible dreams of an artifact uncovered a decade ago. In their search for answers, the pair will uncover revelations more ancient than anyone could have imagined.”
  • Directive 8020 (12th May – PS5): “From the creators of UNTIL DAWN and THE QUARRY, an all-new cinematic sci-fi horror adventure that blends intense survival gameplay with meaningful choices and a branching storyline.”
  • NITRO GEN OMEGA (12th May – PS5): “Humanity has lost the war. The wastelands are now crawling with rogue AI and scavenging war machines. You and your mercenary crew fight to survive, taking on contracts from the last remaining cities built high above the wasteland.”
  • Outbound (14th May – PS5): “Explore a colorful world and build your own cozy home on wheels. Craft workstations, and source energy from the sun, wind, or water. Upgrade and customize your vehicle, grow crops, and live sustainably off-grid with up to 4 players.
  • RoadOut (14th May – PS5): “RoadOut is a story-driven action RPG that combines twin stick action with rubber-burning driving mechanics. Explore a vast post-apocalyptic world in your car, then battle your way through puzzle-filled dungeons on foot.”
  • The Caribou Trail (14th May – PS5): “Far from home, Fisher leaves his quiet harbor town in Newfoundland to join the British war effort with his friends. They expect a short-lived adventure full of tales to bring back home.”
  • Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos Complete (15th May – PS5): “The land of Anthos was a peaceful and harmonious land watched over by the Harvest Goddess and the Harvest Sprites, who protected the inhabitants of Anthos from natural disasters such as storms, earthquakes, and the like.”
  • Rugrats: Retro Rewind (15th May – PS5): “Rugrats: Retro Rewind Collection is a compendium of six classic Rugrats titles featuring the iconic babies from the ’90s.”
