LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be available on May 22nd. Players who pre-order or purchase a special edition will get to start playing three days earlier.
Some players are already enjoying the game early because of a mistake with Xbox digital codes from Walmart, which were accidentally made available before the official release date.
The problem has now been fixed with an update. Players who didn’t connect their consoles to the internet before installing the update were able to keep playing as normal. However, those who had automatic updates turned on lost access to the game.
Xbox had a rough weekend with some unexpected leaks. A version of the upcoming Forza Horizon 6, which is also planned for PlayStation 5 later this year, appeared online after an unprotected copy was released.
It’s not uncommon for physical copies of games to be available before their official release date, but we rarely see this happen with digital games – especially not twice in one weekend.
If you’re worried about spoilers, be aware that LEGO Batman is now available. Because it includes many references to Batman’s world, spoilers are likely to appear online soon.
