Alex Morgan Pregnant, Expecting Baby No. 3 With Servando Carrasco

Alex Morgan and Servando Carrasco are growing their team.

The famous soccer couple shared some wonderful news on Mother’s Day: Alex is expecting their third child!

Alex shared on May 10th that this Mother’s Day feels particularly wonderful, as they’re expecting their third child this fall.

In a sweet video, Alex, 36, and Servando, 37, are seen walking on the beach with their children, Charlie, 6, and 14-month-old Enzo. Alex then reveals she’s pregnant, and her daughter lovingly kisses her belly. The couple shares a kiss, and the whole family embraces while enjoying a gorgeous sunset.

The couple was overwhelmed with supportive comments after their announcement. The National Women’s Soccer League even chimed in, saying Charlie and Enzo are going to be great siblings.

Alex’s fellow athletes, including teammates Ali Krieger and Mallory Swanson, along with Olympic track star Allyson Felix, also joined the comments to say “Congratulations.”

Alex and Servando recently celebrated a new achievement, following Alex’s announcement that she was retiring from professional soccer and expecting their child, Endo, in 2024. The soccer star, who played for 14 years and helped the US Women’s National Team win two FIFA World Cups, said she was happy to be leaving the sport at a time when women’s soccer was thriving.

During her retirement announcement, the soccer star expressed optimism about the future of the sport. According to ESPN, she said she felt confident in the direction of women’s soccer, believing she had accomplished everything she set out to do. She was particularly excited to see the next generation of players – young, confident, and powerful – taking the field and making their mark.

Although Alex retired before her second child was born, she had previously explained why she continued playing after having Charlie in 2020—she wanted to pave the way for other female athletes to continue their careers after becoming mothers.

She described the situation as a fresh start, giving her a chance to make a real difference and advocate for improvements. It also made her think about the athletes who had children before her, facing even fewer resources. She admired their experiences, but it highlighted how much progress still needed to be made.

She explained that it’s frustrating to believe you live in a country with so much potential and opportunity, yet mothers constantly encounter obstacles that make it difficult to pursue their goals and raise a family.

So, Alex opted to lead by example.

She thought it was important to explain to her colleagues who didn’t have children why they all needed to speak up and make their needs known. She wanted them to understand this not just for herself and the other mothers on the team, but also for anyone who might become a mother in the future.
