Get ready to enter the world of Blade Runner in 2027! Behaviour Interactive and PHI Studio have teamed up with Alcon Entertainment, the owners of the Blade Runner rights, to create a new, immersive experience based on the films. The announcement was made on Monday.

The new Blade Runner experience is designed to fully immerse visitors in the film’s dark, futuristic world. It promises a visually stunning and story-driven adventure that captures the spirit of the original movie. The experience is being created by Behaviour Interactive, known for their video games, and PHI Studio, experts in crafting captivating immersive events.

Blade Runner Returns with TV Show and Immersive Experience

Besides the upcoming immersive experience, fans can also look forward to a new Blade Runner television series in 2027. Alcon Television Group is currently finishing up production on the show, which is expected to premiere next year.

According to Dominique Lebel and Shahinaze Hachem of Behaviour Interactive, Blade Runner has had a lasting impact on how we imagine the future. They’re excited to partner with Alcon Entertainment and PHI Studio to create a deeply immersive experience, and this project represents Behaviour Interactive expanding its work beyond just video games.

Julie Tremblay, Executive Director at PHI Studio, explains that the world of Blade Runner, originally created by Alcon Entertainment, is known for its incredibly detailed visuals and complex stories. She says that PHI Studio and Behaviour Interactive are working together to build an experience that honors the existing fanbase while also welcoming new players with a captivating and accessible story.

Alcon Entertainment, the company behind Blade Runner, says they’re carefully overseeing any new projects related to the franchise. In a statement, co-CEOs Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove expressed confidence that Behaviour Interactive and PHI Studio, the developers working on a new experience, understand what fans love and will create something truly engaging.

What Is Blade Runner 2099 About?

Silka Luisa is the creator of the upcoming Blade Runner 2099 series on Prime Video. This show continues the story of the original Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049, and stars Hunter Schafer, Dimitri Abold, and Lewis Gribben.

The upcoming show is set in Los Angeles in the year 2099. Cora (Schafer) has spent her whole life hiding and changing identities. She takes on one last role, hoping to provide a secure future for her brother, and ends up working with Olwen (Yeoh), a Blade Runner facing her own mortality. Together, they uncover a growing conspiracy that threatens the very existence of a city trying to rebuild itself.

The popular Blade Runner series started with Philip K. Dick’s 1968 novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Fans can soon step into the world of Blade Runner with an immersive experience planned for multiple North American cities in 2027.
