No, Meghan Markle is not suiting up for a silver screen return.
Rumors spread recently suggesting Meghan Markle might reprise her role as Rachel Zane in a potential Suits reunion movie. However, a spokesperson for Markle confirmed to TopMob News on May 11th that these rumors are false.
Even though Meghan Markle has clearly stated she won’t return, Aaron Korsh, the creator of Suits, had hinted earlier that a movie featuring the show’s original cast was a possibility.
As a lifestyle expert, I remember when Aaron Korsh, the creator of Suits, shared his thoughts before the Suits: LA premiere – sadly, that spin-off only lasted one season. He told Entertainment Weekly he felt really good about how the original Suits concluded, and even hinted at the possibility of a Suits movie down the line, which I think would be fantastic!
After two years, there’s still no official confirmation, but Korsh hinted that the idea wasn’t completely off the table for the future.
However, it wasn’t necessary for the founder of As Ever to be involved. Meghan Markle had already left her legal work in 2017, not long after getting engaged to Prince Harry.
Although the show, featuring Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, and Patrick J. Adams, continued for one more season, she explained that leaving when she did was the right decision for her and her growing family.
Speaking to the BBC after their engagement, the 44-year-old described the changes in her life not as a sacrifice, but as a fresh start. She explained, ‘I don’t see it as giving anything up, just as a change – a new chapter, really.’ She shares two children, 7-year-old Prince Archie and 4-year-old Princess Lilibet, with her husband.
At the same time, Markle alluded to leaving acting altogether.
She explained that she was excited to dedicate more time and energy to the causes she cares about as she transitions out of her career and into this new role.
Meghan Markle has returned to television, including hosting her show With Love, Meghan, but she’s mostly stayed true to her initial desire for a more private life.
