Coronation Street airs game-changing Will Driscoll twist in early ITVX release

Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) is about to face the consequences of her actions on Coronation Street. Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale), her victim, has finally decided to report her to the authorities.

But how did he come to that decision?

Leaving for France with Megan wasn’t a simple choice, but right before he went, he finally understood someone had been manipulating him.

He stole £2,000 from the Rovers’ safe earlier this week with the intention of leaving the country. He told his family he was moving to Scotland to live with his mother, but after being taken to Manchester Piccadilly station, he secretly planned to catch another taxi to the airport.

Tim Metcalfe offered to accompany Will to the train station, but Will insisted he didn’t need looking after and could manage on his own. They got stuck in traffic, and it soon became obvious that Tim was deliberately slowing things down.

I found out there was a signal problem, meaning all trains out of Piccadilly were completely cancelled. This news quickly reached the Driscoll family, and they started to worry if I’d be able to make it to Glasgow after all.

Young Susie Price discovered Will had stolen the money, and she was upset. Ben Driscoll quickly understood the situation and knew they had to warn Tim before he left for the station. It was a desperate attempt to reach him in time.

Tim thought they should go back and catch a train the next day, but Will said he didn’t mind waiting.

The conversation shifted to Tim’s difficult childhood, and he shared how he only recently realized his past relationship with shopkeeper Trisha was inappropriate. He explained that his wife, Sally, and close friend, Steve McDonald, had helped him understand that.

As a teenager, he felt good about the attention he received from an older woman, but now he understands that relationship was harmful and inappropriate.

After hearing Tim’s story, Will felt comfortable enough to confide in the taxi driver. He revealed he was in a loving, sexual relationship with Megan and that they were planning a future together, including starting a family – Megan was pregnant with his child.

Tim was surprised, but he offered to drive him to the airport, asking him to first think about if it was the best decision.

Looking back, I realize the whole thing was a clever tactic. They weren’t just taking me to the police; they were subtly making me think about everything that had just gone down, almost like they wanted me to process it all while we were driving. It was a really unsettling way to handle things, honestly.

Will was incredibly angry when he figured out their location, but Tim urged him to think about how everything had affected his family. He pointed out that Megan had probably already left, as she had the money and their tickets.

In a huge twist, Will walked into the police station and hugged Ben.

Is this finally the end of Megan?
