Jay Pharoah Does Stand-Up as Toilet Paper in Rock Paper Scissors Sneak Peek

New episodes of Rock Paper Scissors premiere on Friday, May 15th, right after new SpongeBob SquarePants episodes – making for a great Friday night of cartoons!

In the episode “Paper’s Family Get-Together,” Paper isn’t looking forward to his yearly family reunion. He feels overshadowed by his family’s successes and decides to try and avoid it altogether. To cope, Toilet Paper performs a stand-up comedy set, making fun of himself and the audience.

The episode “Scissors Is a Good Boy” centers around Franz Roll, who mistakenly believes Scissors is a dog and happily adopts him, much to Rock’s dismay. Meanwhile, Paper is anxious about his yearly family reunion, as he feels overshadowed by his family’s successes and tries to come up with an excuse to avoid it. This episode also includes guest appearances by Chris Parnell as Parchment Paper, Lauren Ash as Sandpaper, and Pharoah as Toilet Paper.

Rock Paper Scissors Returns With All-New Episodes This Month

Created by Kyle Stegina and Josh Lehrman, both known for their work on Robot Chicken, this series follows the hilarious adventures of three friends: Rock (voiced by Ron Funches), Paper (Thomas Lennon), and Scissors (Carlos Alazraqui). The show also features Melissa Villaseñor as Pencil, a neighbor, and Eddie Pepitone as Lou, a grumpy garbage can who also happens to be their landlord.

The show first premiered in 2024 and proved popular enough to earn renewals for two more seasons. Season 2 arrived in November 2025, and now, after a wait, Season 3 is finally here, launching on May 15th.

Ramsey Naito, President of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation, shared that the show Rock Paper Scissors is known for its imaginative stories and relatable characters. She explained that the show’s combination of humor and heart has really connected with viewers. Naito also highlighted the fantastic cast, praising their ability to bring energy, comedy, and emotional depth to each character, and expressed excitement about exploring the world of these three friends even further.

Starting Friday, May 15th, new episodes of Rock Paper Scissors will air at 5:30 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time, right after new episodes of another show at 5:00 p.m. ET/PT.
