iam8bit, Annapurna Interactive, and Ivy Road are releasing a physical copy of the relaxing game Wanderstop for PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 on August 28th. The companies made the announcement today.
Wanderstop was originally released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (through Steam) on March 11, 2025. It will then be available on Switch and the new Switch 2 console on June 25.
The physical copy of the game will cost $39.99 for PlayStation 5 and $49.99 for Switch 2, and both versions will include the full game on the game card. You can find it at major retailers. An exclusive edition with special packaging will also be available for the same price directly from iam8bit’s online store for both PlayStation 5 and Switch 2.
Along with the game itself, iam8bit is releasing two vinyl soundtracks, Wanderstop and Wanderstop FM, each priced at $42.99. Both vinyl sets are scheduled to ship on August 28th.
Here is an overview of the game, via iam8bit:
Wanderstop is a narrative-centric cozy game about change and tea.
You play as Alta, a former warrior who now reluctantly runs a tea shop in a magical forest. She’s not happy about her new life, and she’s actively trying to shut the shop down for good.
Wanderstop is a cozy game where you run a tea shop. You’ll grow your own ingredients, brew unique teas using a special machine, and get to know the travelers who visit. By listening to their stories, you can create the perfect cup of tea for each customer.
When you have free time, you can improve your surroundings, personalize your shop, or simply relax on a bench with a drink and enjoy some quiet moments. It’s perfectly fine to do nothing at all. This shop isn’t about quick success; it rewards those who are patient and focused on thoughtful progress.
That’s why Alta isn’t here, and why she’ll never succeed if she stays on this path. This just isn’t her. She’s a warrior, a fighter! It’s unthinkable to try and force someone so capable into a quiet, ordinary life. She won’t accept it, she can’t.
