Pearl Abyss confirmed that both DokeV, a collectible online RPG, and PLAN 8, an online shooter featuring exosuits, are still being developed. These games were first revealed in 2019 along with Crimson Desert, according to the company’s latest financial report for the first quarter of 2026.
Pearl Abyss is currently focusing its efforts on DokeV, which is in development. The company aims to release a new game every two to three years, meaning DokeV could be available as soon as 2028. PLAN 8 is still in the early planning stages.
Here is the full note from today’s results:
New Pipelines and Growth Strategy
We’re committed to making Crimson Desert even better by regularly updating the game and attracting new players. We also plan to release the game on more platforms and are working on exciting new content, like downloadable content, to take the experience to the next level. We’ll share specific details as soon as our plans are finalized.
We’re also working on two new games, DokeV and PLAN 8. We aim to release a new game every two to three years, so we’re focusing our efforts on DokeV to speed up its development. DokeV is currently in pre-production, and we’ll share more details as it comes together.
We’re still in the early planning phases for PLAN 8. While we prioritize developing DokeV, we’ll do our best to continue releasing updates on a regular schedule.
