
Good Smile Company and Chime Corporation have announced that the 3D action game PATLABOR the Case Files will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC (via Steam) this summer. The game will feature Japanese audio and support text in English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
A physical copy of the game will be released on PlayStation 5 in Japan for 6,380 yen. You can pre-order it now from stores like Amazon and Biccamera, and it will soon be available through Play-Asia. A special edition, priced at 11,220 yen, will be sold by the Good Smile Company online. This edition includes a limited-edition “MODEROID Griffon the Case Files: Color Ver.” plastic model and the game’s 30-song soundtrack CD.

Story
“Labors” are robots originally created for industrial work. However, they became popular in construction and engineering, and unfortunately, crimes involving these robots began to rise quickly. To address this growing problem, the Metropolitan Police Department created a special unit – the Patrol Labor Squadron – dedicated to countering Labor-related crime. This is how the “Patlabor” force came to be.
