Inside Cassie Ventura’s Private World Since Sean “Diddy” Combs Trial

Cassie and her husband, Alex, had a baby last year under very unique circumstances.

Cassie gave birth to a baby boy in New York on May 27th, just 11 days after powerfully sharing her experiences in court during the sex-trafficking case against her former partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs.

She testified for nearly four days, and Alex was present in the courtroom for most of it. There was a brief period where the judge asked him to leave, just in case he needed to be called as a witness – though he ultimately didn’t have to testify.

By July, when the trial concluded—finding Combs guilty of helping transport someone for prostitution, but not guilty of racketeering or sex trafficking—Cassie had already gone back to Los Angeles, hoping to rebuild her personal life after being a key witness for the prosecution.

Oh my god, it’s incredible! Cassie’s lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, is so right – she’s the one who started all of this! Her lawsuit back in 2023 was the first domino to fall, and it absolutely led to this conviction. Seriously, she’s amazing for having the courage to come forward and basically launch the whole criminal case against Combs. The prosecutors finally got what they needed, and it’s all thanks to her! I’m so proud of her!

Cassie’s bravery in sharing her story has had a lasting impact on the entertainment world and the pursuit of justice, according to her lawyer. They firmly believe and fully support their client, praising her courage throughout the trial.

Wigdor then sent a letter to the court arguing that Combs should remain in jail before his sentencing. In the letter, he stated that Cassie fears Combs could be a threat to those who testified against him – including herself – and to the public.

Combs was held in jail until his sentencing on October 3rd, when he received a 50-month prison sentence followed by five years of supervised release. His expected release date has been adjusted several times and is currently set for April 15, 2028.

Since the trial concluded, Cassie has been prioritizing family life. She’s been taking care of her three children – an 11-month-old son, and daughters Frankie, 6, and Sunny, 5, with her partner Alex – and getting back to her personal goal of creating beautiful artwork, as evidenced by recent photos she posted on April 9, 2025.

On March 13th, Cassie returned to social media to celebrate Alex’s 33rd birthday. She shared a photo on Instagram Stories of him holding their son, with a heart emoji covering the baby’s face, and wrote, “I love you Best Friend.”

Alex had been filming the second season of the British crime drama MobLand in the U.K. He announced on March 30th that filming was finished, almost a year after he and Cassie attended the premiere of the Paramount+ series together. Cassie later shared on Instagram that it had been difficult while he was away for several months, but she was proud of his work and excited for him.

Now that he’s back in the United States, the retired professional bull rider recently enjoyed a dirt biking outing and shared photos of it on May 7th.

Meanwhile, his wife, who has been married to him for almost seven years, has been fully focused on being a strong and dedicated mother to their daughters, striving to meet the high standards she set for herself.

In 2019, while expecting her daughter Frankie, Cassie shared with L’Officiel her hope that Frankie would understand the importance of having choices and not feeling limited to a single path. She wanted her daughter to know she could be anything she wanted to be.

Reflecting on her past, she shared that her goals had shifted. It wasn’t just about building a good life for her daughter anymore, but also about being someone her daughter admired. While some worry about raising girls today, she felt optimistic and looked forward to watching her daughter grow, learn, and make her mark on the world.

When she and Alex discovered they were pregnant again, they were thrilled at the prospect of becoming a family of five.

In a heartfelt message announcing her pregnancy in March 2025, Cassie told Alex how incredibly thankful she is to share her life with him. She expressed that the joy and laughter they experience together surpass anything she ever imagined, and praised him for his loving care. Cassie is especially excited to see Alex become a father to their son, calling him the best ‘girl dad’ and anticipating his role as a father.

Oh my gosh, remember Alex Fine’s birthday in 2020? He was just SO sweet! He posted this adorable picture with Cassie and baby Frankie – she was only three months old then, can you believe it?! – and captioned it “27 feels so blessed.” Seriously, they are the cutest family ever, and that post just melted my heart!

Cassie and Alex marked their first wedding anniversary in September 2020 with a relaxing road trip. She shared photos on Instagram, mentioning it was the first time their daughter, Frankie, had spent a night away from home, and that Frankie really enjoyed it.

Cassie shared photos of her parents at a 2022 Valentine’s Day party in Hollywood, writing, ‘Mom & Dad made it out. I Love My Forever Valentine.’

The couple and their baby, Sunny, who was born in March 2021, attended the 2022 Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, all dressed up for the event.

In January 2023, Alex shared how thrilled he was with his daughters, saying that watching their joy and beauty as they danced was beyond anything he’d ever expected. He added that being their dad was the best thing in his life!

In an August 2023 Instagram post, Alex shared a photo with the caption, ‘Big Franks and Dada waiting for Sunny Bunny and Momma Lama.’

The singer had a fantastic 37th birthday and shared a photo from 2023, writing, “Best Birthday ever with some of my favorite people!” She also credited Frankie & Sunny Fine for the beautiful cake decorations.

The family got to make some funny photobooth faces while celebrating a friend’s wedding in 2023.

In March 2024, the actor and fitness trainer brought his daughters, Frankie and Sunny, to the beach to practice surfing.

The foursome enjoyed a sunny trip to Mexico in April 2024.
