Alex Cooper Leaves TikTok Due to Sexism After Calling Out Alix Earle

Alex Cooper wants her daddy gang to band together.

Following speculation about a falling out with Alix Earle, Call Her Daddy host Alexandra Cooper shared that she deleted TikTok due to the misogyny she experienced on the platform. Her guest, Tana Mangeau, related to this, admitting she’d also faced sexism online.

Tana recently discussed how society often tries to silence women. She emphasized the importance of women supporting each other and firmly refusing to be quieted, instead making their voices even stronger.

Alex shared that she’d had comparable discussions with Michelle Obama, Shonda Rhimes, Kerry Washington, and the late Jane Goodall. Goodall, in particular, had asked a thought-provoking question after acknowledging the issue: “We all know this, and now what?”

“That’s what I’ve been thinking about personally,” she explained. “Everyone knows there’s a double standard, and it’s so common to create conflict between women. It’s frustrating that things haven’t improved.”

After Tana explained she avoids short videos on platforms like TikTok due to harmful content targeting women, Alex revealed she had already uninstalled the app.

A month before Alex shared her own news, she publicly asked Alix—host of the podcast Hot Mess, which was unexpectedly removed from Alex’s network in February 2025—to address their conflict. In an April TikTok video, Alex told Alix, “You need to stop avoiding this and just tell me what’s bothering you.”

However, since then, neither of the influencers has publicly explained what happened from their point of view. Recently, Alix avoided answering questions about it while on the Today show.

She explained on the May 12th episode that she was focusing on staying positive because time was limited and she didn’t want to spoil a good day with negativity. She wanted to maintain a good atmosphere.

Alex Cooper, the host of Call Her Daddy, has started a new media company called The Unwell Network. One of the first creators signed is TikTok star Alix Earle, who will be working with the company to create content for various platforms.

Alix quickly became popular in the U.S. thanks to her ‘get ready with me’ videos, relatable college life content, and charming personality,” Cooper explained in a statement. “I’m excited to share my experience and help the next generation of creators succeed.”

Earle’s Hot Mess podcast premiered the following month.

After her three-year contract with Spotify ended, Alexandra Cooper signed a deal with SiriusXM worth a reported $125 million. This move brings her podcast network, The Unwell Network—which includes Call Her Daddy and Cooper’s Hot Mess podcast—to the satellite radio platform.

Soon after Earle missed a Super Bowl party hosted by Unwell while in New Orleans for the game, it was announced that her podcast, Hot Mess, was no longer with the company.

SiriusXM also gave up its rights to the show and stopped running advertisements for it.

Earle suggested there might be issues leading to her decision to stop recording the Unwell podcast, stating she’s taking a break from podcasting for the near future.

In a TikTok posted on March 26th, she explained she didn’t want to share specifics at the moment, but expressed her deep satisfaction with the podcast and how much she’s accomplished with it.

Cooper immediately dismissed rumors that Earle’s break from podcasting was related to Unwell, clarifying that Earle still owned the Hot Mess podcast as part of their agreement.

Cooper explained on Instagram that they didn’t understand why the other person was upset or what was happening, adding that ‘Unwell’ had returned all of her intellectual property.

Earle remained tight-lipped about the circumstances surrounding her departure from Unwell, playfully hinting in a May 2025 interview with WSJ. Magazine that it was “a little bit of a hot mess” behind the scenes.

In August 2025, a TikTok user asked Callie Earle about her relationship with Alex Cooper. Earle responded with a mysterious message: “How much time do you have?”

Cooper criticized Earle for making subtle, indirect jabs at her on social media. In a TikTok video, Cooper directly challenged Earle to openly share any issues she had, stating there were no restrictions preventing her from doing so.

What’s going on with this conflict? I’m really frustrated with constantly seeing you create drama to take attention away from your own issues online,” Cooper explained. “So, please, just tell me what’s happening. Unless you’d rather stick to a made-up story, I have nothing to hide when it comes to us.

In response, Earle simply commented, “Okay on it!!”

Brianna LaPaglia, known as “Chickenfry,” publicly backed Earle after his disagreement with Dave Portnoy, who used to be her boss at Barstool Sports and with whom she co-hosted the BFFs podcast, became public.

She shared in a TikTok video that she used to admire Alex Cooper, but now she’s seen a different side – a harsh side – and is aware of how Cooper can impact and treat others.

LaPaglia claimed she first heard about the drama surrounding the “Hot Mess” podcast two years ago. She said that, according to Alix Earle, Alex Cooper is a very unkind person.

Cooper responded to Anthony LaPaglia after he called her a “mean girl.” In an Instagram Story, she explained they’ve never actually met and have only communicated through direct messages.

To support her claims, the founder of Unwell shared screenshots of what they said were private messages exchanged over time. These messages showed a history of friendly communication, including sharing phone numbers and invitations to events.

Cooper said, “Is that really all we’ve ever said to each other? And you dislike me so much?” He continued, “Our relationship has never been like that.”

During a May 12 appearance on the Today show, Alix sidestepped any discussion of her rift with Alex.

She smiled, glancing at her Sports Illustrated cover. “I’m really trying to stay positive today,” she said. “We don’t have a lot of time, and there’s no point in bringing down a good day with negativity. Let’s just keep things upbeat.”

About a month after publicly addressing issues with Alix, Alex shared on the May 13th episode of Call Her Daddy that she left TikTok because of the misogyny she experienced there, explaining that she “deleted the app.”
