Rebecca Morgan, Director at The Royal Mint, explained that Pink Floyd is a legendary band whose impact spans generations. She said the new coin immediately identifies the band it honors, thanks to the instantly recognizable prism design. Artist Henry Gray has skillfully captured the band’s essence with impressive detail. Morgan emphasized Pink Floyd’s immense influence on music, art, and culture, and expressed The Royal Mint’s pride in helping to preserve their lasting legacy.
As usual, the coin comes in both colour and monotone and on a range of coin sizes and proofs.
