While he’s done follow-up movies before, he hasn’t yet created a film series with three movies—except for the Hotel Transylvania films where he provides the voice for Dracula. But that’s about to change, as Sandler is bringing back one of his popular comedies from the 2010s for another installment.

Netflix confirmed that a third Grown Ups movie is in the works. Adam Sandler and Tim Herlihy, who often work together, are writing the screenplay. Kyle Newacheck, known for directing Happy Gilmore 2, will direct the film. Details about who will star in the movie and when it will be released haven’t been announced yet.

Grown Ups 3 Continues Adam Sandler’s Dominant Netflix Run

Adam Sandler was a huge movie star in the 1990s and early 2000s, but he shifted his career focus around 2015. He partnered with Netflix, and that move has been very successful. Over the last eleven years, he’s made and starred in numerous films for the streaming service, finding a good fit for his comedic style.
