Is Dr Todd (Caroline Harker) about to leave Emmerdale?
The surgeon appeared to reveal she’s leaving in the latest episode of the ITV soap, but Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Jacob Sugden (Joe-Warren Plant) might be hoping it’s not true.
She’d been bullying and controlling Jacob for months, and when he considered going to HR, she retaliated by threatening to reveal a secret about Charity. Todd discovered that while acting as a surrogate for Jacob and his granddaughter Sarah, Charity had secretly become pregnant with Ross Barton’s baby.
Although Charity initially managed to prevent Jacob from voicing his concerns, he later changed his mind and decided to speak out. Todd realized this would probably lead other coworkers to report issues as well, and she ultimately chose to retire early.
She had lost a significant portion of her retirement savings, but she came up with a clever plan to recover the funds.

Charity simply wanted to restore peace and figure out her next steps. Todd explained that she hoped to live comfortably in the house her father had left her, but needed money to make that happen.
Charity estimated she could only manage around £1,000, but Todd dismissed the idea, telling her The Woolpack was much more valuable and she should sell her part of the pub instead.
Before parting ways, she demanded a whopping £10,000 within the next 24 hours.

Today, I suggested to my son Ryan Stocks (James Moore), who co-owns The Woolpack, that we could loan some business funds to cover a vacation for her husband, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb).
He admitted the financial reports weren’t great, but he did ask her to deposit last week’s earnings at the bank for him.
Charity noticed Noah’s (Jack Downham) tools in his van and tried to get a price for his drill from someone she knew. When they didn’t offer any money, she told them she would think about it.

Later that day, Todd came over to get the money he was blackmailing her for. Charity told him she’d been able to borrow £5,000, and that was the most she would give him.
Todd was very angry, and Charity insisted she wouldn’t give him any more money and wanted him to leave town right away.
To everyone’s surprise, Todd accepted the arrangement and informed Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) that she’d be moving out of her room at Tug Ghyll.
Next week on the show, Todd remains a presence, raising questions about his motives and how long he’ll stick around. Meanwhile, viewers are also wondering how Charity managed to come up with the money she needs.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and from 7am on ITVX.
