Now that another season of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! with returning stars has finished, you’re probably curious about who might go back to the jungle next.
Former Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner quickly became a popular contestant in 2022, finishing as the runner-up to Jill Scott.
In a recent interview with TopMob, he shared his feelings about revisiting the show, saying the experience was incredibly powerful and meaningful. He hasn’t even been able to watch it back yet, as the emotions are still very present and the memories feel perfect as they are.
Honestly, I figured I’d be eliminated pretty early on, so finishing as runner-up with Jill Scott – who is genuinely one of the kindest and most wonderful people I’ve ever known – was completely unexpected. It’s a moment I wouldn’t trade for anything.
Currently, Warner is experiencing a significant career boost, marking his first appearance in a West End stage production with a role in Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution.
He said it was a real privilege to work on material that has lasted for generations and still feels meaningful today. When they analyzed the script, they found many themes that resonate with modern audiences.
“And also I feel like as an actor, doing theatre is the ultimate test of the craft.”

A popular soap actor is playing Leonard Vole, a young man on trial for the cold-blooded murder of a wealthy widow, whom he allegedly killed to inherit her money. The show unfolds in a courtroom setting, and the live audience gets to vote on whether they believe he’s innocent or guilty.
When talking about how he approaches roles, he explained that he tries to connect with each character on a personal level, and he definitely identifies with Leonard. He described Leonard as a playful and optimistic person, someone who, like him, tends to stay positive even when others are concerned. He admitted this optimistic outlook sometimes leads to trouble for Leonard, as he believes things will usually work themselves out.
Even though he was on trial and it was his first time performing in front of an audience, Warner remained remarkably calm. He explained that he doesn’t experience nervousness, only excitement. He’s always felt this way, whether filming in the jungle, acting on ‘Hollyoaks,’ or taking on other amazing opportunities – he simply looks forward to it and can’t wait to begin.
Performing for an audience is a unique experience – you connect with people, see how they’re responding, and get a direct sense of what’s working. There’s really nothing else like it.
From the moment he started performing, Warner has expressed a desire to keep going. He sees this as a chance to learn and grow, explaining, “It’s a completely new experience, and I’m eager to explore a side of acting I haven’t before.”
