Lego’s Mandalorian N-1 Starfighter Is Impressive Addition to Star Wars Collector Series

After Din Djarin’s ship, the Razor Crest, was destroyed in Season 2 of The Mandalorian, he needed a new one. He found it in The Book of Boba Fett with the help of Peli Motto – a modified N-1 starfighter that he used throughout Season 3 of The Mandalorian. While some fans were sad to see the Razor Crest go, Lucasfilm’s partners who make merchandise were likely pleased. A new Star Wars ship means new products to sell, and LEGO quickly released a detailed version of the N-1 starfighter as part of its Ultimate Collector Series.

LEGO released its LEGO version of the N-1 starfighter from The Mandalorian on May 4th. The 1,809-piece set costs $249.99 and is designed for adults and older teens (ages 18+). It includes the ship itself, a buildable display stand, and minifigures of Din Djarin and Grogu. We received this set as part of LEGO’s May the 4th promotion.

This set includes the LEGO SMART Play Luke’s Red Five X-Wing, a 581-piece model designed for builders age 6 and up. The X-Wing uses LEGO’s SMART Brick technology to recreate authentic sound effects from the movies. Along with the X-Wing, the bundle features an Imperial canon, a Rebel communications tower, a vehicle for refueling and repairing, and minifigures of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, R2-D2, a stormtrooper, and a Rebel crew member. This SMART Play X-Wing has been available since March 2026.

LEGO’s N-1 Starfighter Is a Great Addition to the Star Wars Collector Line

LEGO’s Ultimate Collector Series is famous for incredibly detailed replicas of iconic Star Wars ships, like the Millennium Falcon and the Death Star. The N-1 starfighter from The Mandalorian is a perfect example. Once built, it looks just like the ship from the show, with its shiny chrome finish and distinctive yellow markings. You can display it in a few different ways – either straight ahead on its stand, or angled to the side. The included minifigures can be posed on the stand or inside the ship itself, and Grogu even fits in the astromech compartment, just like in the series.

With 1,809 pieces, building the Mandalorian’s N-1 starfighter might appear challenging, but it’s surprisingly manageable. The set is divided into 16 separate bags, and the instruction manual cleverly organizes the build into sections. Each bag contains the pieces for a specific part of the ship (and the stand), allowing for natural pauses and breaks. This makes the build enjoyable for both experienced LEGO builders and beginners. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, with helpful illustrations for every step.

As you assemble the N-1 starfighter model, remember it’s a delicate display piece, not a toy. We found it could be quite fragile, especially as more parts connected – pieces that seemed secure sometimes came loose with minimal pressure. The instructions will ask you to flip the model over during construction, so be extra careful to avoid accidentally knocking off any parts.

Din Djarin and Grogu are returning this summer in The Mandalorian and Grogu, and while they have a new ship resembling the Razor Crest, the fate of their N-1 starfighter is still unknown. Even if the N-1 is retired, it will always be a memorable part of Star Wars history, and LEGO has created a fantastic set to celebrate it. This N-1 starfighter is a great collectible for dedicated Mandalorian fans and LEGO builders alike.
