Season 3 of My Adventures with Superman will return to Adult Swim this June, and it’s putting a fresh spin on the classic “Reign of the Supermen” storyline, including a new take on Lex Luthor. The series originally premiered a few years ago, offering a unique reimagining of iconic DC Comics characters. It introduced a young Clark Kent just beginning his journey as Superman, and has also presented new versions of his famous villains.
I’m so hyped for Season 3 of My Adventures with Superman! They’re really going for it with a new take on the ‘Reign of the Superman‘ storyline, and we’re going to get fresh versions of characters like Cyborg Superman. But the coolest reveal? They’re finally giving Lex Luthor the classic look he’s known for – he’s going bald! After two seasons of building him up, it’s a change I’ve been waiting for, and it’s going to be awesome to see!
My Adventures with Superman Season 3 to Finally Make Lex Luthor Bald

The show My Adventures with Superman is presenting a fresh take on Lex Luthor. Similar to Clark Kent’s journey as he begins at the Daily Planet and learns to balance his life as Superman, Lex – who initially goes by “Alex” – is building his career in the defense industry. He started by working with Amanda Waller and then became more ambitious in the second season, seeking greater recognition for his work. However, the series is still developing him into the iconic villain fans know from other DC stories.
I’ve noticed a big change with this character, and it looks like he’s losing his hair in the third season. It feels like a visual sign of him fully embracing his role as the main villain, and that’s probably where the story is heading. While he won’t be the immediate, obvious threat this season, I get the feeling he’s pulling strings behind the scenes, maybe even creating a new version of Cyborg Superman. Plus, the previews hint at a fresh take on Superboy too, which is exciting.
When Does My Adventures with Superman Season 3 Come Out?
I’m so excited for Season 3 of My Adventures with Superman! It’s coming back with new episodes on Adult Swim starting Saturday, June 13th at midnight, both Eastern and Pacific time, as part of the Toonami block. And the best part? It’ll be streaming on HBO Max the very next day! We’re getting Jack Quaid back as Clark/Superman, Alice Lee as Lois Lane, and Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen – the whole crew is returning! Plus, they’ve announced Darren Criss is joining the show as Superboy, which is HUGE! I can’t wait to see what they do with this season.
The ‘Reign of the Superman’ storyline originally followed the ‘Death of Superman’ and featured four characters vying to become the new hero. However, this updated version presents a different scenario: Superman is alive and understands complex ideas like time travel and the multiverse, opening up many possibilities for unexpected turns in the story.
