Following the tradition of The Dark Pictures Anthology, the next game in the horror series was revealed through a hidden teaser in the most recent release. Now that Directive 8020 is available, details about the upcoming game have surfaced online.
So, the trailer’s video calls the game ‘The Craven Man,’ but honestly, I haven’t seen that name officially confirmed anywhere. What did grab my attention was this old videotape playing on a TV within the trailer – it showed something seriously weird happening. It instantly gave me major The Ring vibes, and it looks like the game is focusing on a spooky, paranormal threat instead of just a monster jumping out at you.
The game briefly displays the years 1988, 2019, 2028, and 2029 at the end, suggesting these might be when the game takes place.
We’re hoping Supermassive Games’ next game is an improvement over their recent release, Directive 8020. Our PS5 review gave it a 5/10, finding the gameplay boring and the characters unmemorable.
