Junmin Lee, a skilled programmer, has developed a modified version of the ShadPS4 emulator that enables PlayStation 4 games to run on PCs in 4K resolution at up to 60 frames per second.

Keep in mind you’ll need the original Japan Studio game to do this. So, before you start, be sure to find a physical copy, then you can copy its data and install the necessary code from GitHub.

Interestingly, the game seems to work very well on portable PCs like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally, giving players a similar experience to the classic PS Vita.

While setting this up might take a little technical know-how, you can get help from the Gravity Rush community on their Discord server.

The game’s classic art style still looks fantastic, now enhanced with higher resolution and better performance. If you’re playing with a mouse and keyboard, the controls have been adjusted for a more comfortable experience.

It doesn’t look like Sony plans to make more games in this series—the original creator, Keiichiro Toyama, has even moved on to start his own independent studio, Bokeh. That’s why it’s great to see fans stepping up to preserve the memory of the main character, Kat.
