John Stamos Shares Last Photo Taken With Late Costar Bob Saget

John Stamos is missing his friend’s hand to hold on for this special day.

The former Full House star marked what would have been Bob Saget’s 70th birthday by sharing cherished memories of their long friendship, and a final photo they took together.

John shared a touching photo on Instagram from May 17th, showing himself, his wife Caitlin McHugh, Bob Saget, and Bob’s wife Kelly Rizzo enjoying a dinner out by the ocean. He simply captioned the photo “Last Pic,” marking it as a cherished memory.

The actor, 62, reminisced about sharing memorable birthday celebrations with his friend. He wrote, ‘Your 70th birthday today would have been amazing! I miss and love you.’ He starred as Uncle Jesse alongside Bob Saget’s Danny Tanner on the ABC sitcom ‘Full House’ from 1987 to 1995.

John shared several fun memories, including a video of his friend singing, a selfie of them together, footage of Bob playing the drums, a photo of them with Rihanna, Bob bowling in a robe, and a clip of them performing on stage.

The actor recently reminisced about a quiet evening spent with their partner, Bob, which unknowingly became their last night together. Bob, 65, tragically passed away in January 2022 after a fall at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Orlando, Florida, resulting in a head injury.

He shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in October 2023 that it was the last time he ever saw that person. He noted how you never expect a regular dinner to be someone’s last time you’ll see them.

John remembered thinking the man was everything he’d hoped for in a partner. He was relaxed, a good listener, and genuinely kind. John and his wife were with another couple, and they both silently marveled at how lucky they were to have such wonderful spouses. It was a truly lovely evening.

The Secrets of Eden star emphasized that losing a loved one often reprioritizes what really matters.

I often find people are rushing through life, constantly saying ‘I have to do this, I have to do that.’ It’s in those moments, when something special happens, that you really want to savor everything. You start replaying the details – what did we eat, what did we do? I remember we ordered cake and had coffee, and we just lingered, staying longer than our usual routine would allow. It’s about those little details that make memories, you know?

John sweetly encouraged viewers, saying, “If you can, spend just a few extra moments with the people you love.”
