Ashley St. Clair is pulling back the curtain on her love life.
It’s been over a year since the former conservative influencer revealed she and Elon Musk had a baby boy. She recently explained her reasons for having a child with him and how becoming pregnant transformed their relationship.
In 2023, after becoming involved with Elon, I felt like my chances of getting married and having a traditional family were gone. As a single mom with conservative political views, I thought I was already seen as damaged goods. But despite that, I really wanted to be a mom again and have more children.
The 27-year-old, who already has a son from a previous relationship, said her main worry about having more children is whether she can financially support them.
She explained how stressful it is to work while constantly worrying about providing for her children. That’s why Elon Musk’s comment – that his only limitation is time, and encouraging people to have children – resonated with her. It made her want to embrace motherhood and not be burdened by financial anxieties, especially given the current economic climate.
“I don’t think that’s crazy reasoning,” she added. “My kids are always going to be taken care of.”
Ashley stated that she and the Tesla CEO talked about her becoming pregnant while they were in St. Barts, and that she was ovulating at the time.
“But as soon as I’m pregnant,” she said, “this is when things start getting weird.”
I know it sounds crazy, but he was much more like his old self before I became pregnant,” she insisted. “We used to have completely normal conversations, and he acted normally. I’m expecting a lot of criticism for saying this, but when we were alone, he was genuinely funny. It’s just that he became incredibly strange after that.

Ashley claimed Elon Musk—who has six children with his former wife Justine Wilson, three with Grimes, and four with Shivon Zilis—told her his relationships with his other children’s mothers were going well. However, she confessed she was worried about dealing with such a complex family dynamic.
As she put it, “I’m realizing that I have to keep my head on a swivel and protect myself.”
Ashley has also been finding it difficult to adjust to the attention she’s receiving because of her relationship with the 54-year-old.
“It’s not even like I want some exclusivity with him,” she explained. “I just don’t want to be in this weird-ass position.”
TopMob News has reached out to Elon for comment and has not yet heard back.
For a guide to Elon’s family tree, keep reading.

Maye was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, and moved to Pretoria, South Africa with her parents in 1950 at the age of 7. She separated from Errol Musk, Elon’s father, in 1979.
Maye became a Canadian citizen by birthright shortly after Elon moved to Canada at age 17. She then built a career in Canada, working as both a dietician – eventually becoming President of the Consulting Dieticians of Canada – and a model.
After selling his company Zip2 for over $300 million in 2019, Elon Musk bought an apartment in New York City for his mother. She lived there for 13 years and continued her modeling work, even signing with the IMG Models agency.
Maye raised her children with the same values her parents instilled in her: independence, kindness, honesty, thoughtfulness, and good manners. She also emphasized the importance of hard work and doing what’s right, as she wrote in an essay for CNBC.

Elon’s father is an engineer and like Elon, was born in South Africa.
Errol Musk mentioned in a 2015 Forbes interview that he frequently traveled abroad with his children—explaining that he raised them after their parents separated. However, his relationship with his son, Elon, isn’t always smooth.
In a candid and heartfelt 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, Elon Musk spoke openly about his father and childhood. He explained that after his parents divorced, living with his father turned out to be a negative experience.
However, Errol told Rolling Stone, “I love my children and would readily do whatever for them.”
After his divorce from Maye, Errol married Heide, who had a four-year-old daughter named Jana Bezuidenhout. Errol and Heide later had two daughters of their own, but they eventually separated as well.
After experiencing her own heartbreak years later, Jana contacted Errol. As Errol described in a 2018 interview with The Sunday Times, they both felt lost and alone at the time, and a connection developed naturally – something he playfully attributed to fate.
The couple fell in love and had a son, Elliott, in 2017, followed by a daughter in 2019. Errol explained to The Sun that he believes the purpose of life is to have children, stating he would happily have more if he could, seeing no reason not to.

Born in 1972, Kimbal is a restaurant owner and the creator of The Kitchen, a group of five restaurants committed to using ingredients from nearby farms. He also leads Big-Green, a non-profit organization that has established 200 educational gardens in schools throughout the United States.
Tosca, a filmmaker born in 1974, created Passionflix in 2017. Passionflix is a streaming service specifically designed for women and aims to appeal to fans of romance novels, a market worth over a billion dollars.

Elon Musk married Justine Wilson, his college sweetheart from Queen’s University in Canada, in 2000. In a 2010 article for Marie Claire titled “I Was a Starter Wife: Inside America’s Messiest Divorce,” Justine recalled that Elon told her, “I am the alpha in this marriage” while they were dancing at their wedding reception.
At the time, I didn’t think much of it,” Justine explained, “much like I later dismissed signing the postnuptial agreement. But eventually, I realized he was being genuine about what he said.”
Justine and her partner experienced a heartbreaking loss when their baby son, Nevada Alexander, unexpectedly passed away in 2002 at just 10 weeks old due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). As Justine described, Nevada had been put down for a nap on his back, as they always did, and simply stopped breathing.
After trying IVF, the couple had five more children: twins Vivian and Griffin, and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian.
In 2008, Elon filed for divorce.

In 2022, Elon Musk shared that he brought his children, Griffin and his triplets, to meet Pope Francis. Though honored to meet the head of the Catholic Church, Elon jokingly described his suit as “tragic.”

In 2022, Griffin’s twin sister also petitioned the court to legally change her name to reflect her gender identity. As part of this process, she stated she wanted no further contact or legal ties with their biological father.
During a July 2024 interview with Jordan Peterson on Daily Wire, Elon Musk discussed his daughter’s gender transition. He stated he felt like he had lost his son, and referred to his child – using her birth name – as having been affected by what he called the “woke mind virus,” implying a loss of who she once was.
He claimed he was misled into signing medical paperwork that allowed Vivian to receive gender-affirming care.
Vivian disagreed with his statements, telling NBC News, “He wasn’t deceived at all; he was fully aware of the potential side effects.”
As I shared with Teen Vogue back in 2025, I made a big life change a while ago – I moved from L.A. to Japan. It also meant distancing myself from my father, and honestly, we haven’t spoken since 2020. People often ask if it was difficult, but I’m very clear on my boundaries. He just isn’t someone I feel I need in my life, and frankly, his wealth has never impressed me. Money means nothing if it doesn’t come with respect and maturity.

Elon and Talulah, both known for their roles on HBO’s Westworld, got married in 2010. Talulah later told CBS News that things moved quickly – they were engaged after only about two weeks of dating.
The couple first divorced in 2012, then surprised everyone by getting back together and remarrying in 2013. However, they divorced again in 2016. More recently, in June 2024, Talulah married Thomas Brodie-Sangster, who is known for his role in the film Love Actually.

Oh my gosh, when Elon and Amber first got together back in early 2017, I was so excited! It was only a year after her split from Johnny Depp and after Elon’s second divorce from Talulah Riley. I really thought they’d be something special, but sadly, it just wasn’t meant to be. It didn’t last very long, which was heartbreaking, honestly!
In a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, Elon Musk revealed he had recently gone through a breakup. He admitted he was deeply in love and that the split was very painful, adding that his girlfriend had initiated the breakup more than he had.

Elon Musk and singer Grimes had an on-again, off-again relationship for four years, beginning in 2018. In September 2021, Musk told Page Six they were essentially separated, explaining that his work with SpaceX and Tesla kept him mostly in Texas or abroad, while Grimes worked primarily in Los Angeles. At the time, Grimes was staying with him, and their son, nicknamed Baby X, was nearby.
In March 2022, she told Vanity Fair that while they live in separate homes, they remain close and are best friends.
She later shared on Twitter that she and E had broken up again as of the time of the article, but emphasized that he remains her best friend and the love of her life. She added that her life and work are now fully committed to ‘The Mission’.
In September 2023, the singer known as “Crystal Ball” revealed that they and their partner have three children. Their newest child, Techno Mechanicus, joins older siblings X Æ A-12 and Exa Dark Sideræl.
In November 2024, Grimes shared that she had been involved in a year-long legal struggle in a state with unfavorable laws regarding parental rights. She claimed her Instagram posts and modeling work were used against her in a custody dispute, all while she was experiencing a painful separation from the father of her children, who she felt was changing into someone she didn’t recognize.
Let me tell you, navigating a difficult separation is never easy, especially when children are involved. I recently faced a situation where I was kept from seeing one of my kids for five months, and honestly, it was incredibly challenging. What makes it even harder is that I was dealing with this while facing limited resources – I was really fighting with one hand tied behind my back. And truthfully, what I’ve shared publicly is only a small part of the story. A lot of what I’ve gone through over the past few years needs to remain private, for my own well-being and to protect everyone involved.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! In 2020, Elon and Grimes had a baby boy, and it was the most amazing thing ever. But the name! They originally wanted to call him X Æ A-Xii, which is just… perfect. Apparently, California law is so boring and only allows English letters, so they had to tweak it a little. Still, X Æ A-Xii? It’s genius, honestly. I’ve been following every update since the moment I heard about it, and it’s just… everything!
Grimes shared the meaning behind her child’s unique name on social media. ‘X’ represents an unknown variable, while ‘Æ’ is her elven-inspired way of spelling ‘AI,’ which stands for both love and artificial intelligence. ‘A-12’ is a reference to the SR-17 aircraft, her favorite. She described it as being focused on speed, not weaponry, and capable in a fight but ultimately non-violent.
Grimes continued, “A=Archangel, my favorite song” adding a rat and sword emoji. “Metal rat.”

Grimes shared in a 2022 interview with Vanity Fair that she and Elon Musk secretly had a daughter through surrogacy.
She explained that ‘Exa’ comes from the term ‘exaFLOPS,’ which describes a supercomputer’s ability to perform an incredibly high number of calculations – a quintillion every second. ‘Dark,’ she continued, represents the unknown, and while often feared, it’s simply the lack of light. Dark matter, then, is one of the universe’s most fascinating puzzles.
Okay, so my mom came up with this incredible concept she calls Sideræl – it’s pronounced “sigh-deer-ee-el,” and honestly, it’s way more than just a name. She explains it as the real time, like the universe’s actual clock, based on stars and deep space, not just how we experience time here on Earth. And get this – it’s totally inspired by Galadriel from Lord of the Rings! Apparently, it’s a reference to her choosing to give up the ring, which Mom thinks is a beautiful parallel to letting go of earthly time constraints. It’s just…so her, and so brilliant, honestly!
Walter Isaacson revealed in his biography Elon Musk that Exa was born in December 2021 via surrogate.
The book reveals that around Father’s Day 2022, Elon and his partner, after a somewhat on-and-off relationship, had a child named Techno Mechanicus, who they call Tau, through surrogacy. A photo from June 2022 showing Elon feeding the baby is included in the biography.
Grimes has repeatedly asked for her children to be kept out of the public eye, even trying legal options, but hasn’t been successful. She expressed on social media in 2025 that she’s deeply worried about the impact of their public life and is constantly searching for a solution, finding it frustrating that there’s no way to fully protect their privacy.

In 2022, court records obtained by Business Insider revealed that Elon Musk had twins with Shivon Zilis, an executive at his company Neuralink. The twins were born in Austin, Texas, where Elon Musk resides.
He also appeared to comment on the report via X, stating he’s “doing his best to help the underpopulation crisis” and believes a declining birth rate is the most significant threat to humanity.
“Mark my words,” he added, “they are sadly true.”
A 2023 biography of Elon Musk revealed the full names of his twins: Strider Sekhar Sirius and Azure Astra Alice. Musk explained that Strider’s name came from the nickname of Aragorn, a character in The Lord of the Rings, and in honor of the late physicist Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar. Azure’s name, meanwhile, was inspired by a spell from the video game Elden Ring.

Elon Musk and Shivon Zilis had their third child together on February 28, 2024. Musk confirmed the news in June, telling Page Six that while they hadn’t issued a formal announcement, it wasn’t a secret from those close to them. He explained that the lack of a press release didn’t mean they were trying to hide anything.
A year after opening, Shivon wrote on Twitter, “Happy birthday, Arcadia! I love you so much.”

Roses are red, violets are blue, and on Valentine’s Day 2025, conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair revealed some personal news.
The author of ‘Elephants Are Not Birds’ announced on X (formerly Twitter) February 14th that she and Elon Musk had a son, named Romulus, after the founder of Rome. She had kept the birth private to protect her child, but decided to share the news because the media planned to reveal it anyway, potentially causing harm.
Honestly, all I want is for my baby to have a normal life, you know? It breaks my heart seeing the paparazzi everywhere. I’m just begging them – please, please let my child grow up without being constantly watched and invaded. It’s all I ask – a little privacy for my little one. They deserve to just be a kid.
Following reports that her representative asked Elon Musk to publicly recognize his relationship with their child, she claimed he reduced the financial support he provides for their baby. This led Musk to respond to the accusations on social media.
Okay, so this situation is… complicated. I’ve been seeing reports about a post someone made online, and honestly, it’s a lot to unpack. Basically, he’s publicly acknowledged there’s a question about paternity, but he’s open to finding out the truth. What’s really striking is the financial side of things – he’s already given Ashley $2.5 million and is continuing to support her with $500,000 a year. It’s a very unusual situation, and definitely raises a lot of questions about relationships and responsibility, but he seems to be handling it, at least financially, with a surprising level of ongoing support.
She could have received even more money, according to an April article in the Wall Street Journal. The article claimed that Elon Musk’s employee, Jared Birchall, offered Ashley $15 million plus $100,000 each month for child support if she didn’t reveal details about their child.
However, Ashley said she told him, “I don’t want my son to feel like he’s a secret.”

Elon and Shivon announced the birth of their fourth child, a son named Seldon Lycurgus, on February 28, 2025. They shared the news while celebrating their third child’s first birthday.
I spoke with Elon, and because it’s Arcadia’s birthday, we wanted to share news about our amazing son, Seldon Lycurgus. He’s strong and kind, and we love him very much, I wrote on X.
Elon responded with a heart emoji.
