Despite celebrating its 10th anniversary and continuing with special projects after the main anime series ended last fall, My Hero Academia has recently concluded a major initiative. While the franchise is enjoying a successful year overall, not all aspects are experiencing positive momentum.
The mobile game My Hero Ultra Impact officially ended its service on May 18th, 2024, after being available for four years. The game’s developers announced the closure earlier this spring, and have now said goodbye to players. The game is no longer playable, and accounts have been closed. A farewell illustration was released to mark the end of the game.
My Hero Ultra Impact Shuts Down After 4 Years

The team behind My Hero Ultra Impact expressed heartfelt gratitude for years of player support in a farewell message. Though Ultra Impact is ending, the My Hero Academia franchise is continuing with a new mobile game called My Hero Academia United Survival. This new game will be available soon on the App Store, Google Play, and Windows, offering fans a fresh experience.
But that’s not everything! My Hero Academia is also celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. A new anime episode recently aired, acting as a follow-up to the series finale. This special, called “More,” is available on Crunchyroll and shows what happens with Izuku Midoriya and the other heroes after the big battle. And there’s even more to come, with another new anime installment planned for later this summer.
My Hero Academia Continues With New Short This Summer

After the finale and special epilogue, My Hero Academia is releasing a new short series called “I am a hero too.” This short adapts a five-page manga story originally published in the My Hero Academia Ultra Age fan book and picks up where the “More” special left off. It features an older Eri and gives fans a glimpse into what Deku’s future as a pro hero might look like.
The new movie, My Hero Academia: I am a hero too, will have its first public screening at Anime Expo 2026 this July. It will then be available to stream in Japan starting August 3rd. While international streaming dates haven’t been announced yet, an update is expected soon.
