New Scooby-Doo Anime Confirms Streaming Home With First Look Revealed

A new anime series based on Scooby-Doo is coming soon! While other projects like a live-action show on Netflix have been in development, this anime version is particularly exciting. First announced a few years ago, the series has now confirmed where it will stream and is preparing for its debut.

A new anime series called Yokoso Scooby-Doo! (formerly Go Go Mystery Machine) is coming soon! It follows Scooby-Doo and Shaggy as they travel to Japan for a brand new adventure. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, the series will be available to stream exclusively on Tubi in the US, and will air on Cartoon Network internationally. Check out a first look at the anime below!

Yokoso Scooby-Doo! Anime Series Announced for Tubi

The first-ever anime series based on the Scooby-Doo franchise, titled Yokoso Scooby-Doo!, is coming to Tubi in the United States. While a specific release date hasn’t been announced yet, the series will be directed by Itsuro Kawasaki and animated by OLM, the studio known for popular shows like Pokémon, Beyblade Burst, and Komi Can’t Communicate. Francisco Paredes is co-producing, with Warner Bros. Animation supervising the entire project. The voice cast will feature some recognizable actors.

The new anime series, Yokoso Scooby-Doo!, will feature Frank Welker returning as the voice of Scooby-Doo, and Matthew Lillard (known for Scream, Daredevil: Born Again, and Superman: Man of Tomorrow) will once again voice Shaggy. The voice actors for the new characters introduced in the anime haven’t been announced yet, but we can expect to hear more about the series—and its promise of fun, exciting adventures—very soon.

What to Know for Scooby-Doo’s New Anime

The new special, Yokoso Scooby-Doo!, finds Scooby-Doo and Shaggy accidentally releasing a horde of mythical monsters while enjoying a culinary trip to Japan. They team up with Scooby’s uncle, Daisuke-Doo, and two new friends—Yume, a magical girl, and Takumi, a tech expert—to solve the mystery and stop the monsters from wreaking havoc.

Warner Bros. Animation, Cartoon Network Studios & Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe are thrilled to bring a new Scooby-Doo anime series to Tubi! According to Sam Register, President of these studios, this partnership marks a fresh direction for the Scooby-Doo franchise with its very first original anime. Working with the talented artists at OLM, the series will deliver classic mysteries, fun adventures, and lots of Scooby Snacks, all in a vibrant anime style.
