EA has announced details about the upcoming 2026 Season Pack for F1 25, with a full reveal trailer coming on May 20th. According to IGN, the pack will feature Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time F1 champion, along with Gabriel Bortoleto (a former F2 and F3 champion) and 10-time Grand Prix winner Valtteri Bottas as its cover stars. More information will be released later this week.
With the 2026 Season Pack in F1 25, Valtteri Bottas and Pato O’Ward will introduce Audi and Cadillac as new featured teams to the game.
The 2026 Season Pack for F1 25 will update the game to match the current Formula 1 season. Players can expect new cars, drivers, and the latest racing rules.
The new F1 regulations included in the F1 25 2026 Season Pack are expected to be noteworthy, as they’ve faced criticism from actual F1 drivers. Two-time champion Fernando Alonso has described the current state of the sport as focused too much on batteries, while last year’s champion, Lando Norris, believes the cars have gone from being the best and most enjoyable to drive to arguably the worst.
EA announced back in November that they wouldn’t be releasing F1 26. Instead, because F1 25 was so successful, they’re planning an expansion to add the new season’s content to the existing game. EA called this a “strategic reset” for the F1 series, and said that the developers at Codemasters will now focus on creating a completely new game for 2027 that will be a significant step forward in terms of gameplay and overall experience.
According to senior creative director Lee Mather, F1 25 has been a huge hit thanks to enthusiastic fans and the exciting nature of the sport itself. He believes, with Formula 1 continuing to grow in popularity both on and off the racetrack, it’s the right moment to start planning for what comes next.
We are dedicated to the EA Sports F1 series. We’re planning major updates for the next few years, starting with an expansion in 2026, and a complete overhaul of the F1 experience in 2027, to provide more enjoyment for players of all skill levels globally.
F1 25 launched on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in May 2025. We initially gave the game an 8/10 score, praising its realistic tracks created with LIDAR technology, as well as better car handling and artificial intelligence. We did feel, however, that the game focused a bit too much on things happening outside of the actual racing. Despite this, F1 25 was a commercial success, contributing to a strong first financial quarter for EA in 2026.
