Amazon’s R-Rated Spider-Man Series Trailer Sees Nicolas Cage’s Marvel Hero Against New Version Of Sinister Six

A new Spider-Man is joining the world of live-action.

Fans of Spider-Man are getting a new look at an alternate version of the hero! Prime Video has just released the final trailer for the upcoming TV show starring Nicolas Cage as Spider-Noir. You can watch the trailer in both classic black and white and full color versions below.

The latest trailer for the new animated series, Spider-Noir, suggests it will follow a similar formula to Spider-Man: No Way Home. Instead of the classic Sinister Six villains, the hero will be battling a version of the Sinister Five.

Most Spider-Man movies and shows focus on Peter Parker, but Nicolas Cage’s Marvel project will be different. He’ll be playing Ben Reilly, also known as The Spider, a version of Spider-Man called Spider-Noir.

Nicolas Cage previously provided the voice for Spider-Man Noir in the popular animated Spider-Verse films, created by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Now, he’s working with them again on the series Spider-Noir, with Lord and Miller serving as executive producers.

The TV show Spider-Noir reimagines the classic Marvel hero in a darker, 1930s setting, forcing Ben to take on the role of a crime fighter again. Oren Uziel created the series and leads it as showrunner, alongside Steven Lightfoot, who worked on The Punisher.

The upcoming Spider-Noir series will include several classic Spider-Man villains. Abraham Popoola will play Lonnie Lincoln, also known as Tombstone, and Brendan Gleeson will portray Silvermane. Jack Huston joins the cast as Flint Marko, the Sandman, and Andrew Lewis Caldwell will appear in a recurring role as Dirk Leydon, a.k.a. Megawatt.

The animated series Spider-Noir will debut just two months before Tom Holland returns as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Like the recent TV show, the MCU version will also include the villain Tombstone, played by Marvin Jones III in Phase 6.

You can watch the first season of Spider-Noir on MGM+ in the US starting May 25th. Then, on May 27th, it will be available worldwide on Prime Video. The Marvel series will be offered in both black and white and color versions.
