Love Island USA’s Jalen Brown Marries Joiya Lanae One Year After Show

Turns out Jalen Brown‘s love was back on the mainland.

Former Love Island USA contestant, who initially coupled with Olandria Carthen after entering the show as a new arrival on season seven, married lifestyle influencer Joiya Lanae on May 15th. This came a year after he was eliminated from the competition.

And the 29-year-old couldn’t be more excited about finally finding the one.

Jalen shared a video from his wedding on Instagram, saying he’s incredibly happy because he’s married to the love of his life, feeling great physically, and excited about the upcoming release of GTA 6 in November. He described feeling like everything in his life is finally falling into place.

The truck driver shared his joy about getting married with a video caption that read, “Living the life I always dreamed of.”

On day nine of the show, Jalen arrived at the Villa and was greeted by host Ariana Madix, along with new contestants Pepe Garcia and Iris Kendall. He quickly won over viewers, who voted him as the best match for Olandria, especially since she was having an on-again, off-again relationship with Taylor Williams.

Though her relationship with Olandria didn’t work out—she coupled up with Taylor just five days after Jalen joined the show, leaving him single—Jalen eventually found lasting love. He met Joiya Lanae on a Royal Caribbean cruise in the summer of 2025.

TikTok influencer Joiya, 25, shared that she fell in love with Jalen after a memorable first encounter.

Joiya and her future partner were introduced by a friend while on a boat, who believed they’d get along. They then decided to meet in person and ended up having a very lengthy conversation – so long, in fact, that they could have talked all night.

A year after gaining popularity for her Daily Joi videos, the social media personality married her partner in a white halter dress, describing their relationship as perfectly in sync.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jionni LaValle’s relationship didn’t start with a romantic spark. Snooki described meeting Jionni at a club in 2010 as a last-minute decision – she was drunk and looking for a hookup.

Despite the unconventional beginning, the couple quickly fell in love. They announced they were expecting a baby and got engaged in 2012, welcoming their son Lorenzo in August. Their family grew with the arrival of daughter Giovanna in September 2014, and they had a Great Gatsbythemed wedding two months later.

The couple, who first connected when Lisa returned to England from a trip to America, tied the knot in 1982 and eventually welcomed their daughter Pandora, son Max, and many beloved pets – including dogs, swans, and ponies. Throughout their marriage, the couple has openly shared their struggles, such as Trista’s seizure in 2017 and Ryan’s Lyme disease diagnosis. Fans briefly wondered about their relationship when Ryan mentioned being apart from Trista in May 2024, but it was later revealed she was filming Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

When asked about the secret to their lasting marriage, Trista told TopMob News in January 2025 that it’s simply following classic relationship advice: “It’s communication, trust, respect, common values, compatibility—all of the things.”

Let’s celebrate Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton!

This couple first found love on the first season of Love Is Blind, which premiered in Atlanta in 2020. Since then, they’ve openly shared their lives with fans, from happy moments like launching their podcast, to navigating difficult challenges like their journey with fertility treatments.

On a 2024 episode of their podcast, The Love Seat, Cameron shared how Lauren’s dedication to IVF showed him a new depth of love. He explained that seeing her go through the medications and daily shots, even though it wasn’t what she initially wanted, was incredibly moving and showed him a level of love he’d never experienced before.

I’m such a fan of Tiffany Pennywell and Brett Brown from Love Is Blind! They were one of my favorite couples from Season 4, which aired in 2023 and was filmed in Seattle. Even though they don’t share every moment on Netflix anymore, they still post updates on Instagram, and I love seeing glimpses of their life together in Portland, Oregon – from their travels to just everyday moments. Brett perfectly summed it up when he posted about how they ‘Started in the pods, now we’re here!’ – it was such an unexpected love story, and I’m so happy for them!

He described it as a “wacky” way to find a spouse, but expressed gratitude for the “beautiful family and beautiful home” they’ve built together over the past decade.

Jamie and Doug have been open about the challenges and joys of their marriage, including their struggles with fertility and the heartbreaking loss of their son, Johnathan, who was born at 17 weeks.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s story is uniquely their own, beginning when they met at a club in 2006. Heidi remembers confidently telling everyone she’d marry Spencer, a declaration many considered outlandish at the time.

Despite being labeled as reality TV villains – often known as ‘Speidi’ – the couple remained committed to each other. They got married, had two sons, Gunner and Ryker, and continued to appear on shows like Celebrity Big Brother, Marriage Boot Camp, and The Hills: New Beginnings.

In January 2025, they tragically lost their home in the Los Angeles fires. As they worked to rebuild, Spencer actively promoted Heidi’s music online, unexpectedly boosting the popularity of her 2010 album, Superficial.

“It’s amazing to feel the support of people coming together for our family,” Heidi shared with Billboard in February 2025. “After years of being seen a certain way, it’s wonderful that people are finally seeing the love story that’s always been there.”

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker first connected in 2011 while filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta during a trip to South Africa – Kandi was a cast member, and Todd worked on the production crew. Kandi remembered an encounter with a medicine man who predicted she would marry someone present at that moment, and surprisingly, it turned out to be Todd!

Kandi and Todd married in 2014 and later expanded their family with son Ace and daughter Blaze, joining Kandi’s children Riley and Kaela from previous relationships.

Like many couples featured on The Real Housewives, Kandi and Todd have dealt with rumors about their marriage. However, they’ve consistently shown that their relationship is strong.

In a 2023 anniversary post, Todd shared, “It hasn’t been perfect…but that’s ok because it’s our journey!” He thanked Kandi for her love and support, and expressed his excitement for a future together.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always admired couples who truly make it work, and Heather and Terry Dubrow are a perfect example! They first met on a blind date way back in ’96 – can you believe it? – and quickly fell in love, marrying in ’99 and building a beautiful family with their four kids: Nick, Max, Kat, and Ace. Over the years, we’ve all watched them share so many sweet family moments, celebrate big successes – like selling their incredible chateau for a whopping $55 million! – and support each other through everything, even challenging times like Terry’s health scare in 2023. They’ve always navigated rumors with grace and proven time and time again that they’re each other’s biggest supporters. Heather perfectly summed it up in a recent Instagram post, calling Terry her ‘rock, cheerleader, best friend, and the love of my life.’ It’s a relationship built on genuine connection and unwavering support, and it’s truly inspiring to see.
