Tess Daly reveals her reaction after Strictly Come Dancing 2026 presenters unveiled at last

Former Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly has reacted to the all-new presenter line-up.

Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe will be the new hosts of the show, it was announced on Tuesday, May 19th. This change comes after Tess and Claudia announced their departure late last year.

The announcement was made on BBC Strictly’s official Instagram page, and Tess Daly shared her congratulations in the comments section.

“Can’t wait to tune in 😍 the ultimate trio,” she wrote.

The former host also posted the video to her Instagram Stories, excitedly revealing, “The secret’s out, and it’s great news – what a fantastic team!”

I was so excited to hear about Leigh Francis’s new role! She said she’s a massive fan of the show, and honestly, that’s how I feel too. She even admitted she’s still wrapping her head around the fact she’ll actually be dancing in the Strictly ballroom – can you imagine?! It’s a dream come true for any of us who love the show.

Widdicombe expressed his excitement and humility about taking on a major role in television, saying he felt both thrilled and a bit intimidated by the opportunity.

Radebe said he was thrilled to be back on Strictly Come Dancing, but this time as a judge – something he never expected.

Daly and Winkleman revealed in October that they’ll be stepping down from hosting Strictly. In a statement posted on Instagram, they shared how much they’ve enjoyed working together and called hosting the show a dream come true, adding that they always planned to leave as a pair and felt the time was right.

We’re so excited for the rest of this incredible series, and we want to express our huge gratitude to the BBC and everyone involved in making the show. They’re a fantastic team, and we’ll truly miss working with them every day.

It’ll be emotional when we say ‘keep dancing’ for the last time, but we’ll keep encouraging each other. Maybe we’ll be doing it from our couches in comfy clothes, with pizza in hand! – Tess & Claud
